The End of December

A year ago I posted this:

i forgot to post

Sorry about the streak Freak.

Not picking meaningless games.

I'll take the Rams on sunday night. And Faith Hill.

Happy New Years Eve.
Posted by El Padrino at 9:35 AM "

And while the audience is limited I think LOV deserves better and it's gonna be 2012 don't forget, according to the Mayans shit is about to get real. For that reason LOV deserves a solid post.

First a year in review.

Outside of the death of Osama Bin Laden (Navy Team Seal Six what up) nothing really nuts happened (Arab spring? please, they replace a dickhead with another dickhead). We didn't have a Captain Sully moment I mean. The hilarious death of Kim Jong il was pretty newsworthy but in the "everything else not politics section this year" was pretty boring.

Well Weinergate was pretty awesome. /EP.

We pulled out of Iraq the same time Herman Cain pulled out of another former secretary.

Let's face it politics suck anyway. All of them are egomaniacs that can't keep their dick in their pants. Or old lesbians who should be playing bingo in their nightgowns. Or big gay communists.

Some things happened and continue to happen in Economy land but no one outside of me and blue care about it. So I'll skip that.

The internet got hotter. TV's will soon be live, like in your face LIVE.

Apple hypnotized people again. Steve Jobs died because he thought he was smarter than everyone else when it came to treating cancer. He would have died anyway, pancreatic cancer has the highest kill rate but it didn't have to go down like that Steven. Wish there was an app for cancer.

Never Forget, 10 years later.

Gabrielle Giffords and the horrible Arizona shooting.

Casey Anthony how ya doin.

Some young british douchebags got married.

Tears for Japan.

Charlie Sheen lost his shit. That was fun. #tigerblood

Rebecca Black, Kim K, Mob Wives, Extreme Couponing.

The rapture was fun.

No more space program. :(

Tornadoes win comeback player of the year. Jesus those things fucking suck.

Most of the news from 2011 was sports talk. Which is fine by me. We endured two pro lockouts, one of those resulted in missed games. The Lombardi trophy came home, the Larry O'Brien trophy alluded enemy #1, the Cardinals somehow did what they did in 2007 and it worked again, weird I know and O:FB had a lapse in judgement in the NHL.

O:FB woke up and raped the Red Sox with an epic, historic and hilarious collapse that cost people jobs, Bud Light, sleep and fried chicken.

Braves collapse was pretty suite.

Al Davis dies 40 years after he died.

If I said conference realignment would you know what I meant?

Sweater vest gone. Urb in.

Vancouver riots. Those crazy Canadians.

Down goes Frazier.

Womanz soccer was pretty suite.

The sickest March Madness tourney of my lifetime. 3 double digit seeds were in the final four. Some dude named Shaka was involved.

um >>>>> ::pointing to elephant in room::

This sad story out of Penn State.

Switching gears.....

My take on New Years Resolutions and New Years Eve/Day in general.

I think it's funny when people say they want World Peace as if they even know what that means. World Peace doesn't exist. Christians only know World Peace as the time period before Adam took that bite of forbidden fruit. The only piece I'm aware is from the ever loving jingle break me off a piece of that kit-kat bar. And if you're an aethiest then shit you ALREADY know world peace doesn't exist so no one needs to tell you.

Working out, eating better, etc. resolutions always crack me up. Because of the sheer laziness of the resolution #1 and because it means for 3 weeks in January you won't eat carbs or you'll do some pushups every morning for a week. Then it's over. So lame.

A real resolution comes from imagination. Creativity. Example, this year I want to focus on my self education. I'm going to learn another language and read five books on the economy to better understand it and get my real estate license. Or this year I'm going to enroll in cooking classes, learn to salsa and re-dedicate myself to my wife. ROMANCE!

Things get taken for granted daily. Wives and great people are some of those things. One of the only good things about new years eve is remembering those things and trying to remember...going forward not to misremember them. Make sense?

I wake up, kiss my wife and kids tell them I love them and go to work. I try to live a drama free life, I try and not be a shitty person to other people and I try to eat relatively well. I do this all year round. And as a shocker to you all, I agree with Keef. New Years is overated. It's overated because there is no meaning. A Happy New Year doesn't even exist, it's like world peace. As anyone in the history of mankind ever gotten through a whole year being happy every fucking day of one year? Outside of Hugh Hefner of course. No. Of course not. A rainy day could ruin a Happy Year.

Have a happy AND healthy new year! Oh thanks for the jinx asshole. Now the hypochondirac side of me is worried about this sinus headache turning into a brain tumor. It's just another day people. The first day of the first month. Nothing more. Sure this sounds old and like the late great Andy Rooney and so what. I'm getting old(er).

My view has changed on alot of things. I used to hate coffee. Now I don't. I used to be able to drink a 12 pack of beer and feel like a million bucks on Tuesday. Our bodies are shit. I hope you all know this. Either way I don't give a damn about your new years resolution so save it. (unless it's super creative and/or makes me laugh)

Happy New Year assholes.

Onto the picks.....

Another slate of meaningless games, and they want to expand to 18 games. Child please.
Three games to care about. Giants/Cowboys - Bengals/Ravens - and Denver/KC.
Few other games have implications but these three are the ones to watch. First one obviously for all the NFC East marbles, essentially a playoff game. The second one is a playoff game for Cincy and the third is Neckbeard hoping to stick it to Tesus and the potential of Tebow hosting a playoff game vs the Steelers.

122-109 is my record. Off we go.

Green Bay +3.5 - Matt Flynn is no joke. NS.
St. Louis +10.5 - Last cry for Spags.
NYJ +2 - More painful if they win and another team fucks them.
Minny -1 - Back-up QB's are sort of important. Teams know this.
Buffalo +11 - Dumbass spread.
Carolina +8.5 - another dumbass spread
Philly -8.5 - Eagles 4-1 favs for Super Bowl 2012
Indy +3.5 - Believe it or not the Colts are better than Jax.
Houston +3 - They need some momo here....
Atlanta -12 - They do not want to see Saints in round one.
Baltimore -2 - Want division crown
Steelers off board I'd take steelers
Denver -3.5 - Neckbeard fails.
San Diego +3 -Final nail in the Al Davis coffin
Arizona -3 - home team

Go Bulls!

I'm tired...and hungover.

fmjug's dad orders a smoked turkey every year during the holidays from some place in Tyler, TX (I think). There aren't many things that taste better than this smoked turkey...good stuff!

Her parents are having a new years eve party this weekend. They throw good parties, should be a good weekend.

I won one of my $$ leagues this past weekend...suite.

Remember pay phones? Those were fun. When did you get your first cell phone?

Two more days of work then I'm off for 18...suite.

Lp gets the last post of the year...make it good.

slow news week

when the lead story on sports talk radio is that Rex Ryan said he'd take Peyton Manning in the draft ahead of know it's a slow week.

The NBA is back, didn't realize that I missed it until the games started up again...that was nice.

Lots of sledding was done over the last few days. bgblue1 is a daredevil on the sled, she'll be a great skier.

That's all

Rev and freak get cut from the TCS. That should surprise nobody.

It's 2:00 am, I just got home. I have to be up for work in 4 hours. This is my post. I might post more later. I might not.

111-104 - Santa is a good handicapper

Merry Christmas to all. My favorite Christmas memory is flipping out when I went to the tree to see a beautiful Night Rider bike. It was dope. Can't wait to see how excited my daughter gets when she sets her eyes on her pile. It's what it's all about.

And the food. Cookies.

Here are picks. Stocking Stuffers.

BUFFALO +3 - Home Dog Me. Again, if Bills win, and Chiefs win. Next week America gets it's Sunday Night Tebow game. Meant to be.

CINCY -4 : Bengals eat Cardinals ya know.

Jax +7.5 - Nothing to see here.

PATS -9.5 : They smell the one seed.

Minny +6.5 : Ponder has balls.

BALT -13 : Roll that shit smoke that shit.

Chargers +2.5 : are hot right now. HOT.

Philly +2 : Fuck Dallas.

SEATTLE +2 : doesnt lose at home, San Fran starts to "rest"

GREEN BAY -13 : Oh my.

Atlanta +6.5 : not scurred of Mercedes Benz Chocolate City Feces Dome, said Matt Ryan.

Happy Festivus!

I was going to finish up my Christmas shopping last night, but some of fmjug’s friends came into town so we went to dinner with them…good people and good times. Now I’ll have to finish up my shopping tomorrow night. I always leave it to the last minute, oh well. Happy Festivus!

Christmas plans…There is always some drama with expanding families around this time of the year. Everyone wants to see everybody and still keep their Christmas traditions going and it never works out like everyone wants. Luckily we were able to avoid that drama this year. On Christmas Eve I’m volunteering to work at my church during two of the early services, then dinner with fmjug and both our parents. After that we go to a Christmas party, and then to church for the 11 PM candlelight service. Christmas day we’ll probably go to church with my parents, then dinner that night with my side of the family. Sports and presents! Bulls open that day and the Bears play the Packers. The Bears game won’t be pretty. Fmjug’s family is doing their Christmas on the 26th this year, so we’ll do that on Monday. What’s your weekend look like?

I’ll be one of the few in my office next week, only three days though. Then I’m off until Jan 17th…suite!

Happy hour tonight with some friends to watch the Texans game.

That’s really all I have to say right now…GO!

Happy Channukah

or something.

muslims hate this week, not only do we have christmas, but the jews have their holy week as well.

I think i'm ready for Christmas. Got the in-laws coming in to town today. Today is the last day of work for the year for blue. He's taking the meiz approach of not giving a shit anymore.

Funny that tem missed Kod in the TCS. I guess kod is so small in stature that he's like an FCS (1-AA) school.

One bad thing about having a new boss, is they think they have to prove to everyone how smart they are. Do your job, nobody cares that you're an idiot, you already have the job. And here's a little hint, don't make enemies on your team within the first 3 weeks on the job, we'll quit protecting you. Fucking woe.

Giving all my annual review to employees this week. Made one chick on my team cry yesterday. At least she didn't get fired.

I'm excited for the NBA to come back, gives me something to watch during the week now. I'm about sick of watching House Hunters every night.

Speaking of house hunters, my neighbor just quit her job so she could take some relaxation time. She wants cmblue to team up with her and start flipping houses. In this market. Well, whatever keeps the wives happy I guess.

TCS Standings

First of all, no these don't have to add up to be a .500 record. Sometimes you play a Blog Championship Series team. Not all games are against Blog Bowl Series teams.

Second of all if I forgot someone it is because I wrote this in about 5 minutes.

Keith 12-0. Just a juggernaut. Day in and out. Posts during the day, posts at night. Two time (maybe 3 I dunno) defending TCS champ. How do you beat him? Send him on a vacation I guess.

El Pad 10-2. Plays hard until about the middle of the 4th qtr. Then just goes home. Usually has built up enough of a lead in games that it doesn't matter, but sometimes lets games slip away late. Had keith on the ropes in their game, then let him off the hook.

Jug 9-3. Solid outings most weeks. Basically a good all around team. Capable of hanging in there with anyone. Dropped games to El Pad and Keith and Beth. He stared at her tits too much.

Meiz 9-4. Started off realy strong at 9-1, but lost his last 3. Why did he play 1 more game than everyone else? I dunno. Thoughts around the league are that his new job has affected his play. He's really going downhill fast.

Blue 8-4. When his wife doesn't hold him back he is tough to beat. Somehow pulled off an upset of El Pad. Praised Tebow for the win.

Spiff 6-6. A linking monster equals big play ability. A threat to score from anywhere on the field. Doesn't have much of a defense. Seems to take those plays off. He'll just wait until it is time for the offense and unload some dem tits. You can never count out dem tits in the TCS.

Tyler 6-6. Wedding time got his season off to a poor start. Damn womans*. Has shown spurts of greatness. Work seems to keep his head out of the game at times. Needs to focus more on what counts.

H 5-7. If woe or inviting me to events in Rhode Island scored points he'd be unbeatable. Has the ability to throw up huge numbers, but instead like Tyler focuses on work. Some nekkid pics of band groupies could score some big points for him.

TP 5-7. More bum punching and less work will lead him to a title. But there are only so many bums around that you can punch.

Beth 2-10. The only person with the ability to win the TCS with one post (unless spiff has some pics of her too). She won't use that card though. Usually scores on her opening drive of the day, but then peters out. She has lawyers to do.

Freak 1-11. Only beat Rev. It is thought that he is dead, but I see him on X-Box.

Rev 0-12. Insufferableness doesn't score points. Posting only after Philly teams do something good is poor form. It is sad to see a legend of the blog fall so hard.

All dogs go to heaven

Really really sad day today. Lots of tears shed around here. We had to have Tressel, our 3 year old Weimaraner, put to sleep. Such a freak accident, too. He ended up having this. We were at a brunch in the morning, we got home about 2:00, let's the dogs outside, and he was the healthiest dog in the world. We're guessing he just drank a shit ton of water from a puddle that had formed on the side of our house. Then he was out running around and his stomach must have twisted. 90 minutes later we had to make the decision to have him euthanized. He went downhill so fast, it's crazy. When I noticed he was in pain and acting strange I took him to the emergency animal clinic. They took an xray there and his stomach had twisted and was about 10 times the size it should have been. The 2 options we had were to have an emergency surgery done, for $5000, that had a 50/50 chance of working. And if it did work, the chance of it happening again was high. The other option was having him put to sleep right there because he was going down so fast. So I had to call cmk at home and told her to come to the hospital and say goodbye to him. We both just sat in the room with him for 10 minutes and bawled. They asked if we wanted to be there when they put him to sleep, but neither one of us could deal with that. It was tough enough just sitting there with him, and him howling because he was in so much pain and having foam dripping from his mouth. So they took him to the back room and that was that. I'm so heartbroken, I loved that dog so much. He was a little shit, he got into a lot of things, he did some damage to things in the house, but then he would come up to me and lay on my lap and all was forgotten. Every night when I get home from HD at midnight, he would hear the garage open and would run downstairs and meet me by the refrigerator because he knew that I was going to give him an ice cube. It's weird not having him around the house now. It doesn't seem real, mainly because everything transpired so quickly. I can't believe he's gone. RIP buddy. You're gonna be missed.

Die Hard is the best Christmas movie.

Pet Peeve: Always asking for something when you go out because your too fat and lazy to get it yourself.

Weekend update: Friday night I'm going to a Houston Areoes hockey game with a bunch of people from my softball team...should be a good time. Saturday fmjug and I are heading to Austin. Gonna hit up some good BBQ, and go to a go see this guy down on 6th street. We'll probably end up staying at the same hotel we did for Summit II. Sunday we'll head down to San Antonio. She wants to swing by Sea World and see the Christmas stuff, and do some shopping down that way. We'll head back to Houston, with a pit stop at the Shiner brewery on Monday. This trip was originally scheduled because I was supposed to be a character witness for a friend of mine in a custody case on Monday. The trial has been postponed, but we're still making a road trip just because.

Do you have your plans for New Years Eve figured out yet? This will be the first year that me or one of my brothers isn't having a New Years Eve party, so I'm a free agent. A friend of mine may have people over...might settle that for me.

Have you heard the Jeter story on sports talk lately? Apparently when he brings chicks back to his place for the night he will arrange to have a car take them home the next morning. In the car is a gift bag full of signed Jeter baseball memorabilia. I thought that was hilarity. What would you leave in a gift bag for a chick?

The Kimmel bit where they record kids getting bad Christmas gifts was funny.

up all night

that's an awful show on NBC. Who'd have thought that Maya Rudolph (the only good part of the show) Christina Applegate, and Will Arnett wouldn't be funny?

Anyway, I was up all night with a sick kid...puked on me 4 times, which is awesome. (s)

Because of that, this is all you get

TEBOW! I've actually grown weary of the constant national dissection of Tebow and tebow mania. It's almost as bad as the Bert Farve coverage. Bottom line, they'll lose this week to New England. H i'm assuming we have our standard bet, do I get the points?

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Is it me or did the molestation news just sort of go away real fast? It's like the news companies either got sick of reporting it or they decided America was sick of hearing it. Either way I'm glad...I was sick of hearing it. I'd rather they tell me what happened after the lawsuits are finalized.

I haven't been watching enough NFL lately. I need to remedy that. I have been playing enough video games though. Krishna, what is that battlefield game you want me to play?

BTW auto correct for meiz is apparently Krishna. Wft?

Cmtem ordered 100 Christmas cards to send out. She asked me how many I wanted to send out. I said 10. I don't get many cards, so I don't want to send many. I guess I'll be sending some this year. Keith will get one because I know his address.

Cmtem made cookies this weekend. I ate a lot of cookies. Now I need to diet or I'm going to become diabetic. Oh and breathe right strips apparently stop me from snoring. So that's good news for summit 3. (It's December bro)

3, 2, 1 Contact

Remember that show from when we were kids? Or in freak's case, before he was born. God, we're old. But anyway, that was a grate* show. I watched it all the time and learnt lots of science stuff from it. Then they had that little vignette called The Bloodhound Gang during each episode. Whenever there was trouble, they were there on the double. If you had the crime, they had the time. They were the bloodhound gang. They kind of creeped me out a lot because they always had really creepy old people and really creepy ghosts in the trees and stuff. But still, quality television programming. I miss being a kid.

You know what I hate? Well, lots of stuff. But in this case, I hate when people (ie, New Yorkers) say Santy Claus. That's just being lazy. You know, kind of like when someone says taste instead of tastes. Make that 1/1000000000th oz of extra effort and say Santa. Capisce?

I'd talk about football but fantasy is done for me and the goddamn Bengals are choking now. 60ish days until pitchers and catchers report.

I think we have a ghost in our house. Weird stuff happening in the last week or so. First, our garage door wasn't working right. One morning we were getting ready to leave and the door would only go up about a foot before stopping. So I had to disconnect the opener from the door and roll it up manually so we could get the cars out. The next day I got home from work early and went to fix the door and all of a sudden the opener worked again and I didn't do anything to it. Then, one of our terlets* broke. We have those push button water saving devices on them, and the one in our bathroom broke. I flushed it and I could hear the water running 10 minutes later so I went to push the button again and it was broken. Like, it wouldn't do anything. So I had to turn off the water at the toilet so it would stop running. So, this weekend I boat* all new innards for the toilets, get home, and all of a sudden the button works again. No rhyme or reason. Weird shit going on.

It's 11:45, I should go to sleep.

Getting Sandusky'd at work

I'll post picks later. I have too many meat orders to process.

Can't stop the bleeding.

Cincy -3 over Texans
What's kept the Texans winning is the #4 defense in the league. But Ohio in December is cold and shitty and the Bengals are not playing the Ravens or Steelers.

Detroit over Minny, no line willing to give 6.

Tennessee +3.5 over Saints
Just going with the opposite percentage.

Philly over Miami, no line I should be getting 5, 2 if Vick plays

KC +9 over NYJ
Jets giving 9 is hilarity. Pray for a pile on TD late like last week if you take Jets.

New England -8 over SKINS

Atlanta -2.5 over CAM

Tampa over Jax, no line dont care

Indy +16.5 over RAVENS
When Detroit went 0-16 that year did you know that they covered the last 6 games they played. It's called desperation football. Like when a team is fighting for their playoff lives but the exact opposite.

DENVER -3.5 over Chicago
Tebow/Urlacher collision gonna be suite.

AZ +4 over San Fran
Losing focus already.

Oakland +11 over GREEN BAY

SAN DIEGO -7 over Buffalo
Chargers probably won't lose again this year. Perfect. Keep Norv around for another losing season.

SEATTLE 40, Rams 13.

Thursday, December 08, 2011

I almost forgot it was Thursday. I’m usually a little off on weeks after a drill weekend as far as what day it is.

Weekend update: I’m not doing anything Friday night, which is nice. Saturday fmjug and I are taking her parents and my parents to dinner for chicken cutlets and to some show downtown, I think it’s called Winter Wonderland or something like that. It’s got a Christmas theme to it, that much I do know. Sunday we will probably do some Christmas shopping, then its football time. Blue, standard bet, final Y! line?

Suite moment last night with Kod and Mize…all they were missing was the double slap man hug. Summit III. AJA, Good luck with everything today Mize!

Good to know Sandusky is in prison and can’t afford bail. Maybe he will get beat in prison by some inmates.

I need to buy some Christmas music. My parents listened to Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole when I was growing up, so I like that stuff among others. “I noticed you threw the token black guy in there, nice move.” – Jason Whitlock

I have nothing else to add today and need to get to work…GO!

girl look at that body

i work out

today is Pearl Harbor day. Never Forget. What a different time in American society. 70 years ago today. I wanted to talk about heroes and stuff, but the truth is, back then everyone enlisted because of patriotism, and duty to their country. The Ted Williams story was the rule, not the exception. My grandfather's brother was in the company that moved through Italy on Patton's march. He's got stories. I've been to the USS Arizona memorial in Hawaii, it's a sad place. Even sadder is all the fucking japs there taking pictures of their biggest victory. Hey douche, it's not like I go to Hiroshima and take pictures of the shadows burnt into the concrete.

ok enough of that.

Imagine a world in which Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck are both on the Colts. Now wake up and realize that Manning will be traded if the Colts draft Luck. I'm of the belief it would be better for the Colts (if manning is healthy) to trade the pick and acquire a bunch of stuff because having a great QB surrounded by a bunch of crappy players usually results in zero superbowls. Ask Archie Manning.

Boise State is going to the Big lEast for Football. Which I think is a huge mistake. It's an obvious cash grab, which I'm fine with, but much like the move to the MWC, it's only a small step better than the conference they were in before. There isn't much to the big Least once WeVa leaves, because Pitt is already gone and the conference was shat before.

I've had just about enough of this for today, just remember:

i'm sexy and i know it.

tem ideas

First....sources say the Lakers want Howard and Paul? Wow. What fucking team doesn't? That isn't news. Every team in the league would love to have those two players on their team. Sources also report that the Houston Texans would love to have Aaron Rodgers.

Second today is my birthday. Yay me.

Now. Tem idea. Voting rules in America need to be radically changed. Voting used to be something people were excited about, well not anymore. So we need to get people excited about it again. How do you do that? You pay them. That's right, I think we should pay people to vote. It'd be great if everyone thought voting was so awesome that they'd do it for free, but they won't. So:

1) pay the people to vote. I don't know, how about $100 a person in Pres years, $50 in non pres?

2) make people take some sort of test to show they actually know what they are voting on. this will probably drive more voters away, but hopefully the $$$ brings more in than it drives away. the test doesn't have to be difficult, but just something that proves people know what the issues are.

3) if you are collecting social security you can't vote anymore. if you are collecting social security you are probably old. if you are old you are probably crazy, cranky and crazy. no voting for old crazy people.

There ya go. 3 steps to a better voting America.

Now onto sports.

UFC talk:

Seriously, Bones Jones will run right through Machida. 1st Round KO. Machida looks funny when he is KOed. Be prepared to see it early.

Silva is ducking Sonnen. I 100% believe that.

Mir fight will be boring.

Tito Ortiz is not the people's champ. That name is dumb.

MLB talk:
Francona on TV. Guess he just traded jobs with Bobby V.

Sources say that the Pirates would love to have Pujols.

Monday, December 05, 2011

Teeeeboowwwwww!!! Like jug said, talking with mize about Tebow is like arguing with a women*. He has his argument and he doesn't listen to (read) what anyone else has to say about it. There is no rationale behind it at all.

Tiger won. Good for him. He must be banging dirty skanks again. Good for him. Now let's see him win something that matters.

It's going to be cold here this week. Highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s. I don't mind. I mean, it is winter, right?

So the next iron chef won't be the female Guy Fieri. Bummer. (S)

BCS is so goddamn whack. Last week I wasn't totally against a Bamer/LSU rematch because there weren't any other undefeated teams left. But after seeing OkSt fucking destroy OU on Saturday night, I feel like they should get the shot at LSU that Bamer already had. I really don't think there are any other teams besides OSU & Bamer that could hang with LSU, but I think OSU got screwed out of it. Because now, if Bamer wins, the whole argument becomes "Well, they beat each other so which one is really better?" Eff the BCS.

TP, FU/tOSU bet, meow.

I kind of want to go to Vegas to watch ASU, except that Boise is going to beat them by about 42 points. I don't really want to see that.

Y! Bowl Pick 'Em
Group ID: 10940

I think need to buy some Neil Diamond tickets this week.

Titans +1.5 over BILLS
Chris Johnson has sucked balls for most of the year. But he sat out most of the off-season and probably just impregnated hoodrats and smoked pot. So the sucking balls was expected. He seems ok now and Buffalo is missing two key defensive lineman. Man the Bills thought they had something this year huh. What a kick to the nuts.

CHICAGO -7 over Cheifs
Defense and special teams get it done for the Bears who are just trying to stay afloat and in this Wild Card race.

Oakland +3 over MIAMI
The Dolphins secret is out no one will take them lightly going forward but the rushing game of the Raiders is just serious right now. It's a game of ten yards people. If you control the line of scrimmage you control everything else. Listen to me. I have gems.

Denver +1.5 over MINNY
Can't wait for Tebow to run over Jared Allen. Why is Denver getting points here? Cuz it's in a dome? That favors the Broncos speedy defense moreso than some fat half naked bald fake Viking guy waving a flag while riding a motorcycle. Jesus this line is awesome. Wish I was betting.

Indy +20 over NEW ENGLAND
Alot can happen in a football game to be giving 20 points. I'll take it, less risky than giving. Hopefully Tom Brady breaks his leg or something trying to wedge his foot into an Ugg boot.

Cincy +6.5 over STEELERS
Bengals haven't fared well ATS vs the Steelers in the past but the past is gone man. This is a new Bengal team. They have what they call, spunk. Moxie. I think they hang around.

TAMPA BAY -3.5 over Carolina
Wonder what the line would be if this were at Charlotte. Cuz this game is a pick em.

Jets -3 over REDSKINS
Skins have no WR's and a pretty bad passing game. I don't see how they dont get smothered by a team that needs to win out.

Falcons -3 over TEXANS
Houston is reeling right now. I wouldn't sleep on the Falcons going forward they have only one loss in past 6 games to New Orleans who they get again the day after Christmas. Outside of that game they play the Jags, Carolina and Tampa. It's possible they could end up a #3 seed and host a playoff game or two. They'll need Turner however to shake this nagging groin injury which could be an issue.

BROWNS +6.5 over Ravens
Classic Ravens this year. They play down to their opponent and when the lights ain't on they are an average team. 1:05 start. They'll need a comeback to win this game and probably get it because the Browns are bad.

Not picking the Giants game. Just to note the last time they faced an undefeated team they won. You may have heard about that game. Also, before that game they stopped the undefeated 1998 Denver Broncos season. Needless to say the 72' Dolphins are all Giant fans.

ARIZONA +4.5 over Dallas
Dallas has gotten 4 in a row but the last two were labor intensive and Romo nearly gagged on both of them. They have a huge game ahead of them staring them in the face maybe this is a trap game, Arizona can run the ball.

SF -13 over St. Louis
Think my boy might get fired.

Detroit +9 over SAINTS
I think unlike the Giants the Lions will cash in on some red zone opportunities and be in this one.

San Diego -2.5 over JAGS
Time for the Chargers to win 4 in a row to close out the year. It's Wayne Fontes part two.

A Jug's Life

I picked up some Blue Moon Winter Abbey Ale last night...not too bad.

Thanksgiving was a cool weekend. fmjug, her family, and myself went to OK to visit her family. During the weekend we took a trip to AR to check out the wedding chapel we'll be getting married at next year. The hotel where the reception is at was on one of those ghost hunters shows and is apparently haunted...could be suite. Cool town and all in all, a very cool weekend.

Watching TUF on DVR right now.

Five weeks until my trip to Steamboat. Could be like a preliminary bachelor party since fmjug has no interest in skiing. Either way, it will be an excellent trip...Blue knows. I've been the last two years on this trip/music festival and they have been some of the better trips I've ever taken.

Speaking of bachelor parties...I'm planning mine for January 21. One of my brothers is in the Naval Reserves and he is leaving for Kuwait on Feb 1 for 8 months. He won't be there for the wedding, so I wanted to have the bachelor party early so he could be involved. It'll serve as a going away party/bachelor party. Nothing major either...a keg of beer and some liquor at my house with some beer pong and other drinking games with my brothers and close friends. Good times! If any LOVers are on Houston then, let me're invited!

The wives of my other two brothers are both Jug gets a new nephew and either a niece.nephew next year. The only thing that suck about that is one of my sister in laws is due right around the wedding, so she won't be there and she was supposed to be a bridesmaid. I don't care because I'm pumped to have another nephew or niece, but fmjug is a little upset. Freaking women! I'm just not sure if I should spend $10 or $20 on gifts (tem).

Damn...Dodson knocked his ass out! He dropped like 6 fists before the ref knew what was going on. Nice!

Should I have one more beer or not? I should...

That's all I have tonight...go comment!

porcupines are stupid

especially ones who eat corn and talk on youtube

i'm very much tired and jaded

tebow makes things better

braxton miller might be the next Tebow...or Chris Leak

I hope the broncos go all in on this option thing and draft Robert Griffin III from Baylor as Tebow's backup.

NuBA is about to be back. Doesn't sound like anyone cares to see some overpaid dudes cry and whine and flop.

Bad news for the NuBA when Nene is the top free agent available.

I hope everyone has a merry christmas.

cmblue's birthday is friday, bgblue1's is Monday, bgblue2's is in two weeks. plus christmas...this is the time of year I have less money than meiz

Urgent Emails and other hate and don't understands

I hate when people in the office always tag their emails with that damn red exclamation point. Everything you send isn't urgent. Whip de fucking do, you sent another email. Good for you.

I hate that I lost 3 FNFL games by a combined 6 points. 2 point losses are the worse*. Except for 1 point losses, those are the worser*.

Del Rio got fired mid season. I hate when NFL teams do that. Unless you have someone to bring in now what is the point? Was Del Rio hurting recruiting? Are more people going to buy tickets now that you have an interim coach that 2 days ago was the Defensive Coordinator for your team that sucks?

I hate LinkedIn.

I hate emails asking me to attend some conference in some town I never heard of. Here is a tip...if you want people to attend your conference pick a town people have heard of. No, I don't want to go to your conference in Outer Falls, Kansas. Other than being in Kansas somewhere, I have no idea where that is.

I like getting paid, but I really hate work. I wonder if I could work out some deal where I win the lottery and don't have to work anymore.

I don't hate being called lazy. If the shoe fits....

I don't hate the fact that the group I wanted to win the Sing Off actually won the Sing Off. My picks for those things are usually as good as my UFC picks.

I hate when people trim their nails at the office. It is generally old people. I wonder if when I am old I'll do shit like groom at the office.

I don't like it when people misuse the word good in conversation. Most of the time they mean "well." I slept well. It isn't I slept good. Good is not an adverb. Dumbasses.

I'll never understand why some people want to fuck little kids. I don't get it at all. I'm not sure I hate them because I think they must be really fucked up in the head and that isn't their fault. But they probably should be locked away forever or just killed. Or at least sent to a farm where there are no kids and they can possibly be taught not to want to fuck little kids.

I don't understand how tOSU AD still has his job. Although the rumor amongst rich people in town is that he won't soon and they will soon have a new AD and tem will be pissed about their choice.

I think the Taco Bell commercial with the steak thing is the first one where someone actually eats the Taco Bell food. In a couple other ones they make eating noises, but no bites are taken out of the food. In this one there is bites.

If the Harold and Kumar movie was about Taco Bell instead of White Castle would it have been the same?

I think the White Castle Headquarters is in Columbus.

Cmtem and I want to move closer to town, but all those houses are old and have no places for technology. I guess we could remodel a lot. Sounds like work. Work I am not qualified to do.

Good night sweet prince

In Honor of Kyle Orton, i'll list 8 things i'm thankful for at the end of this post.

Speaking of Orton, why would the bears, who have waiver number 30, put a claim in on him. If he falls through to 30, why not just let him go and try and sign him as a free agent. You know San Fran and Green Bay aren't going to claim him off the waiver wire.

I'm thankful for the two bgblues, they're a lot of fun

Thankful for Tebow of course

cmblue should be on the thankful list somewhere I guess

Thankful that LOV keeps me sane, even the insanity that is meiz.

How does meiz follow like 100 people on twitter? I follow 12 or so and it fills up my phone, no time for that shit.

I'm thankful that BYU isn't going to the big east. That means Boise STate probably won't go too.

I'm thankful for Boise State's kicker this year. If it wasn't for him, i'd have to be arguing everyday now about how BSU deserves a shot at the title game, and that would get boring

Ok, i know that's only 6 thankfuls, but Orton always dissappeared in the 4th quarter anyway, kind of like Prince James.

More Thanks

More thanks in this post...but first.

I heard that the Emmy's are basically voted for on one episode. The actors send in one episode and the Emmy voters watch it and vote for best actor or whatever based on that one episode. If that is true, that is stupid. Can you imagine if the NFL voted for their MVP that way? I guess if they did Arian Foster (from his 100yd rushing and 100yd receiving game) or Drew Brees (for his like 6 or 7 TD game) might be the MVP. Emmy's are dumb....maybe.

OK now onto a list of things I am thankful for:

1) family, including cmtem. especially cmtem.
2) hooded sweatshirts. love those things.
3) a job that allows me to post blog stuff during the day.
4) this blog allowing me to post half posts later than normal.

Let's give thanks

In case y'all didn't know, it's Thanksgiving week. it is during this week that we celebrate seizing this great land from the, not call center. We celebrate this in only a way that we Americans know how. By eating a shit ton of food and probably wasting even more. By watching footyball. For some of us, by getting an early morning game of rough touch footyball in. And by spending time with family that we moved away from because we can't stand being around them. USA! USA! USA!

So what are you thankful for? Here is my list...

First and foremost, I'm thankful to have an wonderful family with a great wife and awesome daughter
I'm thankful to have great parents that are always there when I need them, and when I don't need them
I'm thankful to have a cool place like this to help get through the week full of stresses and bullshit
I'm thankful for Sofia Vergara's cleave
I'm thankful that none of yous get too offended by the shit that I say, because in reality I like to stir the pot, not offend people
I'm thankful that I don't live in a country where people blow other people up
I'm thankful I didn't go to a Jerry Sandusky footyball camp when I was a kid
I'm thankful that I have health insurance
I'm thankful every morning when I wake up and get to walk into bgas' room and see her standing in her crib with a huge smile waiting for me to pick her up
I'm thankful that every year some of us can meet up and be idiots with nothing better to do at a bar
I'm thankful that Boston, New York, and Philly are all battling over who can be Operation: Fucked the most
I'm thankful that cool dudes like LP really aren't stupid, they're just bad typers
I'm thankful that even though all of my teams lost this weekend, life still goes on
And finally, AJA, I'm thankful that I "know" each of you all. You're all real good people.

I guess the voice of UGA died this weekend. Sorry Beth.

Whoever this Pat Shurmur guy is sucks. Another loss closer to Holmgren the walrus stalking the sidelines in the Dog Pound next year. Jax has an underated top 10 defense AND a top 5 back in the league. The Browns have none of the above.

DETROIT -7 over Carolina
Suh gonna chokeslam Newton. I got this down as a stone cold lock so throw the key away and count the hundreds. (POUND THE PANTHERS. /KEEF)

Tampa Bay +14.5 over GREEN BAY
Just a hunch they'll struggle, come from behind and win by 8 or so. Tampa 12-3-1 in past 16 road games and 8-3 in past vs Pack. Different Pack I know but you don't win by 40 every week folks.

Buffalo +2 over MIAMI
Three weeks ago this spread would have been Miami getting 7, now the Bills are getting 2. Thank you Tony Sparano!

Oakland -1 over MINNY
Nervously on the Raiders here because of the porous pass D the vikes have right now. But this could be one of those Adrian Peterson games. So watch out. I'm only picking this game because I have to.

Dallas -7.5 over SKINS
Cowboys hitting their stride just in time for a shot at the division. Skins are buried already.

Cincy +7 over RAVENS
I like the points here. Baltimore has been inconsistent all year, Flacco has been bad at times and the Bengals have balls now. Andy Big Balls Dalton is a fearless little red pistol who can make it rain and Benson has carried the Bengals past Baltimore before. Running right into the teeth of that defense. Bengals have won 3 of 4 while losing by 6 the last meeting.

Seattle +1.5 over RAMS
Two beasts going at it in beast mode. This game is Stephen Jackson vs Marshawn Lynch. St. Louis have some awful ATS numbers and have struggled to win the 2 games they got in the W column. Seattle is a slightly better football team right now. Putrid ass division. This is a vodka soaked tampon division.

SAN FRAN 10.5 over Arizona
Niners got Baltimore and Pittsbirgh left to play, that's the only meat on the schedule bone left. Good luck playing meaningless games for 6 weeks though then being sharp for Divisional playoff weekend.

ATLANTA -6 over Titans
Falcons bounce back big time over Tennessee. And they need this big time to stay in the hunt.

CHICAGO -3.5 over San Diego
That defense is playing so well right now. And with Rivers making it rain interceptions it could be a long day for Chargers. 8-8 or worse I bet the fire Turner. They're already at 5 losses, potentially 6 if I'm right about this game.

I'm not picking the Giant game. You pick it.

NEW ENGLAND -14.5 over Cheifs
KC is done, they had their spurt. It's over. Haley will be gone.

Game Day?

I have my foundation repaired yesterday. Since we have been in this drought I started noticing 2 cracks in my walls on one side of the house. As soon as I thought of foundation repaired, I was worried it was going to be several thousand dollars. I was happy to know it was only going to be $1600. I know nothing about foundation repair, but I figured digging under one side of my house and jacking it up would take a good portion of the day. They were done and gone in about two hours. Cracks closed right up. Now its time to call a realtor and see what I need to do to get my house on the market.

College Game Day is at the University of Houston this weekend. I think my brother is planning on going...he is an alum. I'm debating. Sounds like it would be fun...but he wants to get there around 5 or 5:30 AM. Drinking in the morning is fun. Manmosa's (mimosa with a shot of vodka) are always good...but waking up before 5 AM does not sound good. I'm getting old. Wait, waking up before 5 AM never sounded good.

Astros to the AL. This move makes sense. I imagine some of the Astros fans will piss and moan about it because it kills their rivalry with the Cardinals, or whatever Central team...but the Astros don't have a true rival. The fans like to think they do, but they don't. Since they suck so bad and are starting from scratch, they can start to build an AL type team and put Carlos Lee in the DH spot until his horrendous contract is done. It will also put them in the same division as the Rangers and that will be a better rivalry than anything they've had to this point. Houstonians pretty much hate anything Dallas anyways, so they already have a good start. Plus now the White Sox will play here every year!

That's about all I have today...Go!

Butternut Squash

Had to drop the dog off at the vet this morning, which means I then set in traffic for like an hour and a half..

Now McQuery stopped the alledged assault? Make up your mind dude.

How stupid does Penn State look right now? How dumd* does Sandusky think the world is?

Thursday night football this week...TEBOW! (they'll lose)

Called the TCU win over Boise State..heartbreaker, they key on the missed FG that would have won the game but the 3rd string running back fumbled with 3 minutes to go in the game and the ball on the TCU 20...should have locked it up. Also dumb, Peterson decides with 18 seconds and one timeout, and the ball on the 20, to play for the FG? WFT. You have a Heisman candidate at QB, and kicker who's kicked 3 FGs all season. Maybe see if you can't get it closer, or score a TD. (end bluerant)

Oregon is really fricken good

i watched so much football this weekend i think my head might explode.

Coach K won something, and then he slapped the floor.

Steve is very excited

Tuesday Post

I have no idea who is in charge of when to start contruction on certain roads around town, but whoever they are they are retarded. The whole west side interchange of Columbus is basically under construction now. So of course they have like 10 miles of lanes closed, even though they are only doing work on about 2 miles of road.

The signs are hilarious too. They say things like I-70 Right Two Lanes. I-270 All Lanes. Then when you get to the merge point only the far right lane works for I-70 and only the left two lanes work for I-270. Some guy in a Mercedes was stuck in the mud ditch from where he tried to drive across a few lanes and a median to get on 270.

Fucking traffic.

In sports news Green Bay is pretty good. I think I'll try to get Aaron Rodgers on my team next year. Although he always looks either slightly excited or confused. He has funny eyes. There is a lot of eye ball in his eye.

So now this Sandusky guy didn't rape the boys he just played in the shower with them and touched their legs? Their third leg? oh and the McQueary guy or whatever totally did put a stop to the act. I like how after like a week everyone's story is going to match.

UFC ratings were apparently above expectations. I guess that probably means expectations were pretty low. AJA though I guess FOX and the UFC are happy. Maybe next time they'll show two fights.

Lots of ads for testosterone on the radio these days. Cmtem is a pharmacist, she does not like it when I joke about getting on the testosterone pills. I think we should buy El Pad a bunch of the pills and see if he gets all buff and then dominates his Football league even more.

OK, I'm late so go talk.

Philly sucks

Operation: Fuck Philly is full steam ahead, and I couldn't be happier. They blew their nineteenth 4th quarter lead yesterday, to a team with a horrible defense and a QB named John Skelton.

I was gonna write more but cmk just walked in the door from being in Cali. So go comment and stuff.

Mad Footyball Yo

Big Thank You to all the veterans who have served this country and sacrificed so much for this great country. Man hug.

New Orleans over ATLANTA
I'm still under the impression that the Saints are a better football team than everyone in this division AND that the Falcons rode an incredible amount of luck last year to a 13 win season. Also New Orleans is the top offense in the league in total yards. Second in points.

Pittsburgh -3 over CINCY
I think the Bengals are a nice story. And I was wrong on them and I guess I was wrong on Marvin Lewis too. However they aren't going to win this division and the Steelers have covered this spread 7 out of the past 9 meetings.

St. Louis +2.5 over BROWNS
Man this game stinks. If you go by the trends both teams are just awful ATS. Browns are 0-6-2 in their past 8 home games vs the spread. But St. Louis is 1-8 in the past 9 games overall. So something has to give. Edge goes to the better coach. Chris Longs throws McCoy to the ground a few times and Cleveland turns the ball over 3 times in a loss.

Buffalo +5.5 over DALLAS
Bills have been cover dogs all year long I'm not abandoning them now. Plus we never trust Dallas to give points to a team with a winning record. Right?

INDY +3 over Jacksonville
Against all the wisdom I have right now. Colts get off the schneid. Win game. Even though the Jags have a top ten defense, quietly, I think it's just one of those games where the Colts are tired of being punching bags and deliver a few blows of their own.

KC -3 over Denver
Man did KC look like shit last week or what. Miami was poised to get a win and played tough in each loss so it wasn't a total shock but to get dominated like that was strange. Tebow waltzed into the Black Hole and beat the Raiders last week but that team seems like it's falling apart. I'm not seeing him play well two weeks in a row, especially on the road.

MIAMI -3.5 over Skins
Right now the Dolphins are a better team. And everyone knows it.

PHILLY -9 over Arizona
Spread is off because of Kolb's status but does it really matter? Vick loses to physical teams, good defenses and snitches. Arizona has none of that kryptonite.

TAMPA BAY +3 over Houston
Like Tampa in this game. That is all.

CAROLINA -3 over Titans
Chris Johnson should retire. Ricky Williams runs harder than he does and he's like 40 with a gazillion miles on those spurs. Hopefully Finnegan and Steve SMIFF slapbox in this one.

SEATTLE +6.5 over Ravens
Classic letdown game.

CHICAGO -2.5 over Detroit
Bears are suddenly a good team again. Forte beastin' and Cutler is playing well, even behind a bad line he's making plays. Detroit took game one early in October at Ford Field and Chicago is going to return the favor at Soilder Field. 4:15 game too, fans will be juiced.

Giants +3.5 over SAN FRAN
I really didn't like the Giants here, travelling out West after a big win but Alex Smith throwing into the teeth of this pass rush scares me.

New England +1 over JETS
Three in a row? When is the last time the Pats lost three in a row? Will the Jets trust Mark Sanchez one day? It's New England's time to win, these teams have gone back and forth now for 3 seasons.

GREEN BAY -13.5 over Vikes
I mean yeah it's a big number. But I can't bet against the Packers right now. They played a real shitty game defensively last week in San Diego. That won't happen again, at least not this week at home on Monday night against a division oppenent.

Jug's take...

JoePa fired last night…probably was a good idea for them to announce it at night when college students are up and drinking. This post will be pretty much all about the PSU stuff. We are all very opinionated about it, however, if you haven’t read the indictment, I highly encourage you to do so. Obviously those protesting last night did not.

I’ll start with McQueery. He should be fired too. I have more of an issue with him doing nothing at all to stop the act while it was taking place. I understand being in shock because that is something you just never expect to see. I also understand the instinct to protect people, especially people who can’t protect themselves like that ten year old boy. At a minimum McQueery should have called the police right then and there. If he was going to close the door to the shower, it should have been to get a baseball bat or something. McQueery’s father issued a statement saying that his son “is a good and strong kid, and did what he was supposed to do”. No he didn’t. He absolutely did not. I am quite certain that if McQueery was the ten year old boy, then his father would not find those actions acceptable. They say it takes a village to raise a kid. We all have a responsibility to watch out for kids, maybe not in a legal sense, but as human beings.

JoePa…JoePa is the biggest name in this whole thing, so naturally he will get the most attention, and rightfully so. It’s his show. That doesn’t mean he is getting most of the blame. Remember, the guy who did it is in jail and will be for a long time. I can understand how tough it would be to hear that someone you’ve known for years is fondling young kids in the shower. You don’t want to believe that. However, if McQueery was as distraught as he says he was, wouldn’t you think there might be some validity to what he was saying that would require more than a phone call to your boss? At least follow up? I do understand he did only what he was legally required to do. I feel that Kod was expressing that last night, but I also think that Kod feels he should have done more too... Not sure that came across. Sometimes laws protect the guilty, not the innocent. I absolutely believe that JoePa is sincere when he says he wishes he would have done more. It’s sad that he didn’t. However, how often is the truth actually better than what was initially reported? Right now they are still sifting through the cover-up. It’s going to get worse.

A small, sad side note is how is career is coming to an end. I know he did a lot of good for kids and the community over the course of his career and that stuff hasn’t changed. The terrible part in this is the trauma those kids endured because so many people failed them, and the emotional problems they will have for the rest of their lives because of it. A guy called into Cowherd yesterday who had been abused as a kid and talked about the lasting effects. It was a powerful phone call, the guy was almost in tears at points. I don’t get too caught up in a lot of stories in the media, but this one makes me angry.

On a lighter note…4 day weekend for me. I have a double header softball game tonight followed by NFL football at somewhere that serves wings. Tomorrow morning I’m going to my mom’s school with my brother (he is in the Naval reserves) for a Veteran’s Day event they have there every year. After that, free lunch at Hooters. Saturday I am going to a turkey fry. Fmjug’s dad and a bunch of his friends and family (all guys) get together at this time of year and fry turkey’s for the holidays and hangout and drink. Good people and good times. Sunday the family is coming over for the Bears Lions game (bet Mize?).

And go…

NBA Lockout is over!!!!

EteO. Kind of funny that Jordan made a comment during the last lockout that if Abe Pollin couldn't get the wizards to make money he should sell the team (honest Abe was one of the people pushing for reform in the last cba). Now Jordan is basically saying the same thing. I think the deal gets done and it ends up being 51/49 split.

I also hate that they use the term BRI. They should use Basketball related revenue, or BRR. BRI implies that there can be some sort of offset to the gross revenues, but whatever, it's a bunch of highschool educated people running the player side.

Have you ever seen an old man who caused a car accident and the dumbfounded look on his face, like "what the hell just happened" and the family is all thinking "we should have taken the keys away from him years ago"...and there is a dead kid because of the accident. Or after the accident, the passenger in the car with the old man goes and sexually assaults the other car's passengers...yeah it's kind of like that.

I hope the Broncos claim Albert Haynesworth off waivers.

I hope Arkansas or Georgia beats LSU

I hope tem is happy and still married

I hope

Congrats to Temwr87

Howdy, kids. So tem is married now. I think. I mean, I haven't seen anything that says he didn't do it. But I also haven't seen any confirmation that he went through with it. So I think I'm just going to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. Welcome to the sex twice a month club. It's really grate*.

My favorite part of the weekend was learning about kod's gambling strategery. Actually, I lied. I had sex this weekend (half the monthly allowance), so learning about slot machines was my second favorite part. I would like to learn more about kod's methods but I'm guessing that's the only thing that stays in his closet.

I mentioned it over the weekend, but the sketch on SNL of Kim K's divorce was hilarity. If you didn't see it, here it is.

Who Dey! Watch out!

Jug, your name/pic that mize posted was That's my quarterback

The ending to the AZ/StL game was probably the best finish to a really shitty game that I've ever seen. It helped that AZ's D was filling in on a bye week for my $ team. And even though I had Chris Oingoboingo in my lineup instead of CJ.2K, my team still racked up the most pts for the week. Yay me. Maybe I'll move up from 7th to 6th place.

I boat* that TV deal for hsil yesterday. She doesnt have a credit card so I boat* it and she'll pay it off. This could end badly (S). But I went to buy it online yesterday and it said sold out online. So I looked at local stores and only like 3 stores said available in store only. So I called the one closest to my house and they had 1 left but it was $499 instead of $479. Still a good deal, though. Good talk, Russ.

I think it's supposed to be like 38° here tonight. That's chilly. I love it. Bring on winter. I can't effing wait for the holidays.

Overall 56-54

What's your favorite place to put it?

A) Belly. B) In Mouth. C) Face. D) Leave Inside. E) Asscheeks

Tough I know.

BUFFALO -1.5 over Jets
One of the ways to beat the Jets is to use spread formations something the Bills have done this year a great deal. And they've done it well.

Seattle +11.5 over DALLAS
One of the reasons the Seahawks beat the Giants was because they were able to make some plays in the passing game for huge chunks. They also had some good special teams play. A staple of a Pete Carroll football team. One of Dallas weaknesses is the secondary. Seahawks will hang around. Spread is too high.

Atlanta -7 over INDY
Caldwell should be fired. For real son. He is a poor coach that had his ugly pimples covered by the Peyton Manning shine. He's awful. His staff is awful. His face is awful. Everything is awful.

KC -4 over Miami
Sparano should have quit last year when Ross was flying around the country trying to suck Jim Harbaugh's ass out. Now he'll be fired. Hopefully soon. Shit is painful wathcing him cheer on his guys after only allowing a FG after the opposing team had 3 penalties on the drive that set them back.

NEW ORLEANS -8 over Tampa
Brees normally doesn't have shitty back to back weeks. Also the Rams seemed to want that game A HELL OF ALOT MORE THAN the Saints that day. Stephen Jackson hulked up early and never hulked down.

San Fran -3.5 over SKINS
Remember when they talked about the Skins possibly winning the division? That was fun.

HOUSTON -11 over Cleveland
Browns are bad. T-minus one year til Holmgren is on the sidelines.

Cincy +3 over TITANS
Benson back, Cincy has a very good, very underated defense. I was dead wrong about this team. I think this is an easy win. I don't believe in anything the Titans are doing. They'll get a handful of wins but won't beat a solid football team.

OAKLAND -8 over Denver
Tebow going into the black hole is some scary shit bro. Scary shit.

NY Giants +8.5 over Pats
Spread seems high to me, probably because I'm a Giant fan but last I checked the way to beat New England is to get to the quarterback. Even the hapless Cowboys held Brady in check with this strategy. Last I checked Giants do that pretty fucking well.

St Louis over Arizona
Looks like Kolb will be out. Wouldn't change my pick. I'm willing to give a TD here. Check out Rams schedule. Now San Fran is running away with this which was unexpected but Rams can still get 6 wins or so out of this next stretch. They played possessed last week.

Green Bay -5.5 over SD
Rivers sucks. Norv Turner sucks. Rodgers gonna make it rain footballs over there in Whales Vagina. Rex Ryan was right. Total waste of talent the past 5 years over there.

PITTSBURGH -3 over Ravens
Revenge game. I mean you remember the week one whupping the Ravens layeth down right? Shit don't fly in Mike Tomlin's house son.

Chicago +8 over PHILLY
Philly dismantled Dallas. Whipty doo. Chicago can play defense about a gazillion times better than Dallas. Man the Fat Ryan twins are so underated.

Tem K.

Just a few more days until the Tem wedding, that means just a few more days left for a temgagement to take place. The odds are -160 for the wedding to take place, so that's where I'd put my money. Good luck Tem! In 72 days you could pull a Tem Kardashian though.

Guy on the radio this morning: "There is a report out there that Kim Kardashian is willing to give the ring back, but Kris Humphries said he doesn't want it. Kris...buddy, you play for Minnesota, that's as close to a ring as you're ever gonna get. You should take it back." Thought that was funny.

I was about 90 minutes late to work today...extra sleep was nice. I started doing Lp90X workouts again...sore as hell from Plyometrics. That's not as nice.

My posts have been short lately (LMC /Lp), but TPS has been hectic. Maybe next week I'll write it the night before.

Justified laziness

Are guys who test video games lazy or geniuses?

I went trick or treating until I was 18(ns)

For as good as Cam Newton is, they're still 2-6

Does anyone else think it was coincidental that larussa's best players were all connected to roids? I think that increases the suspicion around pujols.

If you missed the story yesterday Kevin Durant is just a cool kid.

I think im starting to miss the NBA. There isn't shit on during the week now that beisbol is over. Just means I have to listen to how awful tebow is a whole lot more often. You know that Shanny's last year here the broncos had the 2nd ranked offense in the NFL? Now it's a combination of what the fuck and holy shit.

Jack in the box has really good fast food burgers.

I agree with tem, save the timeout, who gives a shit about 5 yards unless it pushes you out of FG range or something.

Cmblue is taking a Spanish class, Ron Burgundy speaks better Spanish.

No new jobs out there for blue, or meiz.

Pants on the ground

Wedding week. I am excited. 2 days of work then off to ND. Not working is always swell. Check that, not working but still getting paid is swell.

So I don't understand why football teams waste freaking time outs early in the 2nd half. Like it is 2nd and 1 and a team is about to get a delay of game. They take a time out. 2nd and 6 isn't bad, just take the penalty and keep that timeout for later. Drives me nuts. Then at the end of the game they always wish they had more timeouts. That 5 yards early in the third is worth less than a timeout at the end of the game.

Weather reports for wedding day have all been 42 degrees and sunny. Today it switched to 32 and snowy. Fucking weather people suck.

Bachelor party was saturday. I held my own. Numerous shots and beers were drank. I remember very little of the OSU game. I remember nothing after the game ended except throwing up on the outside of the car. Didn't get any in the car. I am a champ.

Spiff, Blue and Tyler, work some weather magic and keep that storm away from ND. It is coming from the Pacific or something. Do a dance, or ask the CFO to stop it. Whatever it takes. Thanks and regards.

Case of the Mondays

No basketball before December 1st. This whole canceling 2 weeks at a time charade is retarded. Just cancel the season for crissakes. Fuck basketball. That comment right there I why mize hates white people.

Speaking of. Mize, your name/pic is Star Wars is for fags. Old name, new pic.

I guess today is a day where kids dress up and go door to door begging for candy. I guess I should buy some candy. Otherwise I gotta make like 12 pieces of sour licorice last all night. But I'm gonna be working anyway, so it would be funny to leave cmk home with no candy to hand out. Some friends axed if we were gonna take bgas. out trick or treating. I said no, she's 9 months old. I hate when people take their kids out when they can't even eat the candy. I know the candy is for you, numbskull. Go buy your own candy, douche.

Top Chef starts this week. It's something like, Top Chef: Texas. Does that mean it's all gonna be BBQ and shit? NS

Man, there are so many bad looking movies coming out soon. That puss in boots, the stupid Sandler movie, and this lame looking one with Stiller & Eddie Murphy. Horrible. I do want to see that J Edgar movie though.

Who Dey!

That's enough, I'm tired. I gotta get up early and go to the nose doc this morning.

I like when the crowd sings GBA along with the singer

TITANS -8.5 over Colts
Curtis Painter's hair is seriously annoying.

New Orleans -13.5 Over RAMS
Man, thought the Rams would be better than 0-7. No Bradford again I suspect. Wonder if the Saints saved any turds to drop on St Loo after shitting all over the Colts last Sunday night.

GIANTS -10 over Dolphins
Last time Moore faced Giants here in jersey he left not knowing the ABC's. Tuck. Osi. Pierre-Paul. Kiwanuka. Just stupid.

CAROLINA -3.5 over Vikes
If this game were in Minnesota I'd take them. It's not.

BALTIMORE -13 over Az
Ravens mad. OOOO boy they mad!

Jacksonville +9.5 over TEXANS
Points. That is all.

Skins +6 over BILLS
Something really disheartening about the resurgent Bills not being able to play this game in front of the fans that support them. So for that I'll take the Skins even though Moss and Hightower are out.

DENVER +3 over Detroit
Nobody puts Tebow in the home dog spot and gets away with it.

STEELERS +3 over New England
Sure Pats have won 6 of past 7 meetings and sure the Steelers struggled early on but it looks like the Steelers have found their Steeler way and seem pretty primed for a big win. They've been tuning up on other teams for a minute. Finally a real challenge.

SAN FRAN -8.5 over Browns
Just no way Cleveland travels out west and comes close to beating this niner team right now. I mean did you see any of the Seahawk/Browns game last week?

SEATTLE +3 over Bengals
Makes no sense to me either. None. Officially baffled.

Dallas +3.5 over EAGLES
Changed my mind 87 times on this pick. In the end I like the pass rush of the Cowboys.

KANSAS CITY +3.5 over Chargers
Seriously that loss to the Jets could really set a team back and we've seen it happen to San Diego before. On the other hand the Cheifs are alive and well again. Night game? In Arrowhead? Sign me up.

Occupy: LOV

Except, if you're Zeke, Iam, Stiggy, Ebntx, Rev (aside from a few minutes after any philly team big win), Freak, weasy...and anyone else I forgot. I actually don't believe Zeke quit, I believe fmzeke set the parental controls on his computer so he can't get here anymore. Poor Zeke.

Mosquitos suck!

OOPS...TPS happened!

REO Speedwagon

I had resigned myself to the Andrew luck sweepstakes about 3/4ths of the way through the tebow miracle victory. I seriously was thinking " as long as the colts lose a game the broncos have a shot.". Then Tebow created the greatest comeback in NFL history. Oh well

I often find myself thinking I should have gone into sports talk radio for a living. I'm smarter than half the douchebags doing it now.

Hot receptionist has wore tight tight tight pants the last two days, she's got a great ass.

Tem gets married next week right?

H starts his new job next week?

Has jug set a date yet? Or are they taking it slow?

I haven't decided if this Facebook thing is catching on yet.

A buddy of mine just made partner at his firm, small local firm that does a lot of corporate law. His wife was bragging it up like crazy until he told her he had to come up with the money to buy his shares in the firm. They're maxed out debt wise so he might not get to be a partner if he can't come up with like 50k. Kind of funny I guess.

Fuck lawyers. /meiz

Yes. / Beth

Dude cheats on his wife a bunch, she looks like Ricki Lake so i kind of don't blame him.

tem post tuesday

Let's start with some UFC picks. Guaranteed to be wrong or your money back. Career Record 3-159. Go to the "**************" if you don't want to read UFC stuff.

B.J. Penn vs. Nick Diaz
I can't count the times I have picked a Penn fight wrong. I don't really like Penn. He seems like a cool guy who is really good, but doesn't try. I guess that is too much like me. So much wasted potential...I could have been a star I tell you. I don't know at what, but I could have been a contender. Anyway, Diaz will roll Penn.

Cheick Kongo vs. Matt Mitrione
Kongo is one scary looking MFer. I mean that in a good way. Mitrione is one goofy looking fucker. If you just looked at pictures of these guys there is no way you would pick Mitrione to win. None. I think he does though. He will take Cheick down a lot and sit on him for 3 rounds. Boring decision win. Hopefully I am wrong and Kongo will Kongo punch Mitrione, but I don't see a Kongo punch or kick landing too solidly.

Hatsu Hioki vs. George Roop
Asian name versus Dork name. George Roop does not sound like someone who can beat anyone up. But he can. And he will. This fight would also be a good math contest. Asian name versus Dork name. If it were a math contest Hioki would win.

Mirko Filipovic vs. Roy Nelson
Cro Cop is old. Roy Nelson looks and fights exactly like someone named Roy Nelson should. Nelson will win this by KO. Then he will rub his fat belly and demand some Burger King. Cro Cop doesn't have the chin to win this. Nelson has an incredible chin. (I feel bad for Nelson...I basically just doomed him to a KO loss by picking him to win)

Jeff Curran vs. Scott Jorgensen
Jorgensen has some sort of funny skin disease thing going on. But he is a decent enough fighter. Curran is a decent fighter too. Neither of these guys will be UFC champs anytime soon / ever. But in any case this should be a fun fight. I'll go with Jorgensen to win.

Dennis Siver vs. Donald Cerrone
Cerrone is a fighting cowboy. That sounds like some sort of thing Beth would like. In anycase his fights are usually high paced and fun. Siver is the opposite. He looks a lot older than he is too. He also looks like Rory the country singer. Anyone Cerrone should win this. He is too athletic for Siver.

Bart Palaszewski vs. Tyson Griffin
Classic case of a UFC guy who just lost like 4 of his last 5 needing a win so the UFC puts him up against someone he should roll. Griffin needs the win, Palaszewski should get rolled. Hopefully he gets rolled bad enough that the UFC makes him get rid of either the 's' or the 'z' in his name. You don't need both back to back.

Brandon Vera vs. Eliot Marshall
This is similar to the Griffin fight. Vera is a UFC vet who lost like 3 of his last 4 and needs a win. Marshall looks scary, so maybe he is good and the UFC wants Vera out, but I think Vera will roll Marshall.

Daniel Downes vs. Ramsey Nijem
Francis Carmont vs. Chris Camozzi
Dustin Jacoby vs. Clifford Starks

I don't know these guys too well. I saw Camozzi once I think. Anyway I'll go with Downes, Carmont and Starks. Clifford is a funny name for a fighter.

OK so this is the section most people skipped to. Or they just stopped reading or they never even started reading. I bet more people don't read these posts than do. It is cool that Tosh and SG read this shit though. Actually they probably have an intern who combs the intrawebs for funny shit to steal. It is nice to be stolen from, it means you have nice things. Theft is a compliment.

So this past weekend we moved fmtem into the condo. It went pretty well. Not too much fighting. Actually only once when she was telling me I was going to trip over the cord on the 19" TV I was carrying. Never tell anyone about the cords when they are carrying TVs. I know there was a cord, I wasn't going to trip. I know what I am doing.

I hate trucks that have that sticker about not seeing me if I can't see their mirrors. There are plenty of spaces that I can't see their mirrors but they can see me. Bastards.

Remember when you were in elementary school and you had a spelting* test every Friday? You would get the list of words on Monday and you got to study them all week. One week in 5th grade we got our regular words on Monday, but we also got a bonus word that we got to study and if we got it right we got 5 extra points. This post title was our bonus word. I got 5 extra points.

There were some awful NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE games yesterday, led by the Cleveland/Seattle POS game. Remember when Seattle beat the Giants a few weeks ago? That was fun. But also on the poop toob, you had the Raiders/Cheifs*, Saints/Colts, Titans/Texans, Steelers/Cards, and Cowboys/Rams. But I'm sure tonight's Jags/Ravens game will make up for all those turds. (S)

The World Series has been pretty entertaining so far, IMO. I like that it's going back and forth like this. I saw something that said the Rangers have gone like 45 games, counting regular season and playoffs, without losing 2 in a row. Crazy. I would like to see Texas win game 5, StL win game 6, and then Texas win game 7. Of course, that means it won't happen.

What does everyone want for Xmas? (it's October, bro. /LP) I told cmk I want NCAA Football '12 for Xbox and some brown dress shoes and some clothes with the new ASU logo.

I'm watching a Planet Earth show on Animal Planet right now. It's one that is all about ocean life. It is pretty suite. Sea life is pretty amazing. So much crazy stuff down there. This episode doesn't say anything about sponges living in pineapples, though. That must be on the next episode.

I hate that Swiffer commercial with the people dressed up as dust & mud and they jump up and cling to the mop. It's so goddman annoying.

LP busted his nose. Rough touch football is no joke. Maybe he should switch to just going to the park and playing 500 or something.

Don't you hate when someone you know buys something then they give your name & info to the salesperson so they can call you and then that person gets a referral credit or something? I hate that shit. Then you have to deal with sales calls and tell them to stop calling you like 10 times. So annoying. Had that shit happen this weekend. Someone I know sent me a text saying they are buying some meat from a farm now or some shit, and that they gave my info to them and to let them know what I think. What I think, huh? I think you shouldn't be giving out my phone number to people I don't know. That's what I think.

W-L 48-37

Come at me bro.

I like whipped butter.

BROWNS -3.0 over Seattle
Still mad Seahawks beat Giants. Tem is too.

DETROIT -3.5 over Atlanta
Lions need the rebound win here. To prove they have the make-up of a good team. In years past many teams started 6-0 or 5-0 and totally fell apart. A loss here would raise those questions.

TITANS -3.0 over Texans
Off the bye the Titans are home and play a similar style of the opponent the Texans lost too last week. They really need to get CJ going early and if that happens I don't Houston has a chance. Why haven't the Texans ever bothered to get a decent #2 receiver behind Andre Johnson?

Denver +2 over MIAMI
After watching the Fins on Monday Night last week I cannot believe they are favored on a day where basically it's a homecoming for Tim Tebow. I don't even think the Dolphins can hang with the Broncos. I see a lopsided score I see a parade for Tebow in the streets of LODO. I also know now, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Andrew Luck is a Miami Dolphin.

Chargers -2 over JETS
Man if the Jets played any other team Monday Night they'd get embarrassed. That's how bad they played. The offense is futile. The defense is no longer elite. And the coach is a hot air balloon.

Chicago -1 over Tampa
Didn't Tampa go to London once before? Not fair. Anyway the Bears choosing to stay in Chicago for the week as opposed to practicing in London probably won't have an effect on their performance so I'll roll with Da Bears.

Skins +2.5 over PANTHERS
Washington's D is ferocious. Just realized that. Beck won't lose the game the way Grossman did last week.

OAKLAND -4 over Chiefs
Still feeding off the tragedy and proving to the league they are in this thing this year by trading for Palmer the Raiders should trounce KC. The confidence level of this team right now is off the charts.

Steelers -3.5 over ARIZONA
Arizona plays well at home for like 2 and a half quarters then falls apart. And Kevin Kolb is trash.

St. Louis +12 over DALLAS
I know the Rams stink but the Dallas secondary is awful. Bradtard should be able to move the Rams up and down the field. Here is to hoping they cash in on red zone opportunties.

Green Bay -9.0 over MINNY
Great week to start Ponder coach Frazier. Good idea. Torment the kid early on so he knows how to handle defeat. I hope Ponder likes carpet.

SAINTS -14 over Indy
I mean this would be flexed if NBC could do that this early. I saw the promo for this game last night. DREW BREES AND HIGH POWERED OFFENSE OF THE SAINTS vs colts.

Baltimore -7.5 over JAX

So NBA stars are planning a 6 game exhibition world tour. They can't be out of the spotlight for too long now can they? They should be careful with that though, the Drago Creed fight was supposed to be an exhibition too. We all know what happened there.

I tyed a lot of other shit, but when I hit post it got this is it.

Meiz eye for the straight guy

"Black people from other countries aren't really black people" Hi Daniel Tosh.

I'm over the whole Breast Cancer awareness thing. Do we really have to wear pink and have pink on everything to remind us about breast cancer? It's not like there's a lot of people who forget about it. Granted it's the worst kind of cancer, right up there with prostate and testicular, but you don't see testicular cancer awareness month. Fucking woman* always needing attention. If we didn't have a pink month, i'm pretty sure everyone would still be just as aware. I blame clothing companies. "we have all this pink shit we can't sell, I know, we'll create a whole month where everyone wears pink"

Carson Palmer's corpse traded to the Raiders. I guess he's better than Terelle Pryor. They've both spent a lot of time in Ohio, so maybe they know some of the same people.

I hope the BCS computers explode this week. All this conference re-alignment shit is crazy. Boise State would be dumb to move to the big east. Granted the conference they're in isn't awesome, but the big east is becoming the eastern version of the WAC, let alone the mountain west. The SEC should invite them for a trial year, just to show them what big-time football is about.

Boat* some blue moon pumpkin harvest. By far my favorite of the fall/seasonal beers. If you like beer and you're not gay, try it. (yes, i'm looking at you meiz, fucking attention whore).

Eat, Drink, and be Merry....i'm looking for a new yob, but probably not looking very hard.

Tuesday Oct 18th

So I don't think I will ever understand why on the interstate some people drive 55mph in the fast lane, even though the speed limit is 65mph, but then when they get into a downtown construction area and the speed limit drops to 45mph they either keep on trucking at 55mph or they speed up. WFT? I basically just want to swerve right into their way when I see them coming.

Sounds like the pool in South Carolina is big. First the QB gets thrown into it and then they lose their RB in it. They need some life guards down there.

Good weekend for Tem's $$$ fantasy team. I won the sidebet and my team scored the most points. Time for my team to start winning. I hope. I am hoping to swing some sort of Eli Manning trade. He actually is putting up good fantasy numbers, so I want to sell him at his high point. He clearly is terrible and this is just dumb luck.

Big East doubled their exit fee. Good work. Made me think of Kod's marriage idea. He should add something in about exit fees.

I think it was interesting that the only thing sports radio talked about yesterday was the Harbaugh-Schwartz thing even though Dan Wheldon died. I mean, I get the NFL shows talking about the games, but the basic talk radio was all Harbaugh-Schwartz and nothing about Wheldon. I guess it is hard to talk about.

Work here is fun. New guy A is working on some deal and newer guy B is basically sticking his nose in it and either saving it or fucking it up. It is too early to tell which he is doing. Of course A thinks B is fucking it up and B thinks he is saving it, but only time will tell who is right. Both guys are pissed so it is kind of funny to watch.

OK. I have a meeting or something else to do. I was going to do UFC picks here, but I don't think the fights are until the 29th so no doubt someone will bail on the fight card between now and then.

Old School

I love that movie. It's on TBS right now. I've probably seen it 50 times. It always makes me laugh for hours. This is like one of the only Vince Vaughn movies where he isn't a fucking pussy. Strangely enough, he's a lot funnier in movies when he isn't being a fucking pussy. Weird how that works. I just noticed tonight that the guy who plays Mitch's boss is the old bald guy from Lost. I should pay more attention I guess.

Sad story in Indy car racing yesterday. Spiff linkt* a video of a redonk crash and then like an hour later they announced that one of the drivers died. I don't know who he was because I don't watch it, but it's still sad. He won the Indy 500 twice, and he was gonna replace Dan Patrick in the Go Daddy car next year. Sucks that the only time I erve* talk about Indy car racing is when someone dies.

The LIONS are no longer undefeated. I told you they were overrated. /kod

The first BCS rankings are out. SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC!

Clowns are fucking creepy. I mean, am I right? Man, those fuckers freak me out.

So this is probably weird and I'll get shit for it, but IDGAF. This is the trust tree. And it's not like I'm ever going to meet any of you fags or anything. When I was a kid, I used to have nightmares all the time about dying. Like, at least once a week. I even had to see the school shrink when I was in 3rd grade because it got really bad. But now every once in a while I have a freaked out moment where I don't feel like I'm really here. Here meaning alive, not here like on LOV. For instance, I'll be laying in bed trying to go to sleep and my mind will wander, thinking about dying and what happens next and all that. Then I kind of get freaked out thinking about not being here. Then my mind goes to a place where it feels like I'm not really here and that this is all a dream. Totally freaks me the fuck out. Usually this leads to me sitting up and looking around and trying to get myself out of that mode. Fucked up, huh? Now I'm the crazy one I guess.

Overall 43-29

ATLANTA -4 over Carolina

Pretty soon the media will turn on Cam Newton because at the end of the day it's about wins and losses. Great Newton can ball but what about the rest of the team.

Indy +7 over CINCY
Gonna pick them every week til they win. Chances are they cover, been competitive the past 4 tries.

DETROIT -4.5 over 49ers
6-0. Hot damn.

St. Louis +15 over GREEN BAY
Spags is too good of a coach to have two weeks off and not have a wrench to throw at the Green Bay machine. You'll tell me that he doesn't have the players and that's a fair point. But I think the Rams can throw it a bit on the Packers and will stay within two TD's.

NYG -3.5 over Buffalo
Fuck the Giants.

STEELERS -12 over Jacksonville
Pittsburgh battered a pretty good Titan team a week ago. Jack Del Rio will be gone by Week 10.

Philly -1 over SKINS
Iggles start a little winning streak starting now. Don't worry, O:FP will re-appear at some point.

OAKLAND -6.5 over Browns
Just Win Baby.

Texans +7.5 over RAVENS
This line is dumb. Foster gonna punish the Ravens. Flacco is regressing might I add.

NEW ENGLAND -7 over Cowboys
Boys had two weeks to stew over that then have to go up to Bahstan to play the Pats. Fuck yeah! Works for me.

TAMPA BAY +4 over New Orleans
Lately, always a close game. And Raheem Morris looks like the type of cat that wouldn't stand for two poor performances in a row.

BEARS -3 over Vikes
Chicago rebounds big here. Urlacher was missing last Monday night. He'll be all over Sunday night. No one told me Faith Hill ain't wearing that skirt anymore. Mad pissed yo.

Miami +7 over NYJ
Fins beat Jets often. I don't care who throws for Miami the Jets look like dogshit right now.

Fire Roenicke now!

He should go back to hockey....s.

Wedding planning update: We were going to doour engagement pictures last weekend, but it rained all day Sunday (which we really needed). So last weekend we started registering for gifts. That was my idea, so I scored some points there. We are not done, but my part is done. She still has to go on line and tweek some stuff. So now we are doing engagement pictures this weekend. Two good things with that...1. she suggested I bring a flask. B. we will get done just before the Bears game starts Sunday night, and III. we'll be watching the game down in a bar on the beach in Galveston.

Restaurant question: When you go to restaurants on a regular basis, do you have one particular meal that is your go to meal 99% of the time, or do you try different things all the time. I have my go to meals, and when I go to restaurants I haven't been to before, I typically order things that are like my go to meals at other places. I'm a picky eater.

House update: This may not be an update, but the original story. I want to sell my house, and the sooner the better. fmjug would like to have something ready to move into by the time we get married, and not this house. The first issue I need to take care of is foundation repair thanks to this drought we've been having. I have a crack on one of the interior walls of my house. When I first saw that I thought it was going to cost several thousand dollars to repair. Fortunately the crack was found early, and I'll get it done next month for $1600.

I got the Sunday ticket for free this year. I cancelled my Direct TV service at the end of August. When I cancelled they offered me the Sunday Ticket for half off. I turned that down and cancelled. A few weeks later I signed back up and they gave it to me for free, along with HBO and Showtime for free for three months...suite!

That's all I have...Go!

I swear

by the moon and the stars in the sky

I always oversleep on wednesday mornings, what's the deal with that?

I've been imbibing a lot of Sam Adams Octoberfest lately.

My next option is blue moon's pumpkin something

Tigers won...valverde another fun inning

I'm going to lunch at some swanky bistro. you know it sucks if it's called a bistro

The cardinals are going to sweep the brewers

A cardinals/rangers world series would be the awesome of opposite.

So how about that obama jobs act, huh?

I've always wondered what happened to Happy Gilmore after he bought his grandma's house back

i'm not going to see that movie "drive" out of protest because of all the women in the office saying how beautiful the notebook dude is.

that guy is a douchebag

Tough weekend

Tough fantasy weekend for me. My UFC picks had their usual accuracy, so that was a good start.

My suicide picks both lost, fuck you Giants. And my money FNFL team lost because the Bucs couldn't do shit against the SF defense. Also, got real drunk Sunday and then had to struggle through monday. Although monday wasn't as bad as I thought it could be. In any case, I blame Eli for it all. Fucking Eli.

Arizona axed Stoops. Not sure what they axed him.

Big East to consider adding 6 football schools...probably a good idea, I don't think the remaining 6 football schools are thrilled with being in a 6 team conference.

Detroit football looks good. Baseball not so much.

NBA should just fold.

Work is busy. Fucking TPS.

This post sucks because of the Giants.

Monday, October 10, 2011

There's a new #1!

Another weekend in the books, kids. They go faster and faster. It sucks. Woe. I guess on the bright side, I don't have to drive a minivan.

Kim K's time at #1 has ended for me. It was a good run. It ended tonight while cmk was watching that show about KK's wedding. Goddamn, I cannot stand her at all. And her family is even worst*. But just listening to her talk, it annoys the piss out of me. She might have even dropped out of the top ten, she's that bad. So, goodbye, Kim. It was nice knowing you. BTW, the new #1 is Minka Kelly. I told this to cmk and she responded "yeah, she's pretty. But I hate watching her act". At least she didn't say anything about her breathing.

So one of my buddies has a bunch of my friends over at his house every Sunday for footyball*. I hadn't made it over there yet because I always have shit to do around the house. But yesterday I went over because I feel bad that I haven't made it over yet. It's just weird now, because we're all in our mid 30s now, some of us are married, and some will never get married. But I go over and they're all just talking about how fucked up they got on Friday night and Saturday night. It really wouldn't be strange, except that it's basically the same thing every weekend. I used to feel bad because I hung out with them all the time, but then I got married and I don't hang out that much with them anymore. But then I realized that I don't hang out because I don't want to go out and get fucked up every weekend. I don't know what this has to do with anything, but it was on my mind. And now it's on the Internet.

So, footyball. The NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS pretty much fucked up everyone's suicide league. We had like 22 people left in my $ one that I lost last week. I think like 15 people picked the GGGGGGGGGGGGG-MEN. Cmk was still in it, but she picked Tennessee because she figured a lot of people would pick NY. So that didn't work out so well. Fucking Pittsburgh.

Me & cmk started watching Modern Family this weekend because we had nerve* seen it before. Man, that shit is fun-knee. Phil is my favorite. I want to be as cool as him when I grow up. The fat gay guy is hilarity too. But I don't want to be like him.

We found out this week that cmk's grandma has lung cancer. Sucks. It breaks cmk's heart because her grandma has had heart problems and at least 1 heart attack. And she survived all of that, but the thing that is going to kill her is going to be a painful struggle. Rough year for grandparents and lung cancer.
