Super suck job, Indy

The 2010 Super Bowl was yesterday. The 2001 Peyton Manning played. That was probably my favorite Manning. He throws for a lot of yards and makes big mistakes at the wrong time and makes goofy faces. I ♥ him. AJA, Colts should of* won the game. Dominated total yards. But the one big taint by NO sealed the deal.

Some dude at my party had a shirt that had a picture of Manning on the front with the words "Never bet against this guy" and the back of it said "Who dem taints". I thought it was pretty hilarity, but then Peyton became Peyton again and it made the shirt even funnier.

You know what I hate? New Yorkers! I keed. I hate when people RSVP to a party and then don't show up. Just fucking tell me you can't make it. I'll be cool with that. Don't tell me you'll be there and then not show. Pet peeve of mine.

Super Bowl commercials were meh. None really stand out too much to me. csil liked one of the e-trade commercials because apparently one of the babies had her name. We had to rewind it and watch it again because of it. She's lame.

I paid money for squares for me and cmk. She chooses her 5 squares and then ends up winning the first quarter. She wanted me to give her the money and I gave her a ::whatchutalkinboutwillis::

The best part of hosting a party is all the shit left over when it's done. We have lots of food to eat for a while, and there is probably a case of beer left in our coolers. It was BYOB, so that workt* out pretty well.

Denise Milani has GIANT tits.

L PADRINO sfw

I should of* taken today off. I'm too tired to work today.

For most of you, go comment. For freak, move on to the left sock.

Latest email from a very conservative friend:

"The Dept of Defense briefed the president this morning. They told President Obama that 2 Brazilian soldiers were killed in Iraq .

To everyone's surprise, all the color drained from Obama's face. Then he collapsed onto his desk, head in his hands, visibly shaken, almost in tears.

Finally, he composed himself and asked, 'Just how many is a brazilian?'

This is not surprising, since he obviously has no understanding of billion or trillion either."

As usual $100 on tails. It never fails (cept the past two years). = LOSS (-100)

Ok, I say the Colts score more points in the 2nd half than they do in the first half. That's even money so $100 risking there. = LOSS (-100)

No punts by the Colts is +1000 so I'll put 10 bucks on it to win $100 just in case. = LOSS (-100)

$100 to win $150 for "Will a special team or defensive score occur". Yes. = WIN (+150)

Will there a successful 2-point conversion? Yes for $50 which brings back $200. (+400). Brees and the Saints will trail late and have to go for two. WIN (+400)

Will Robert Meachem score a TD? Hell yes, +270. (Risking $100) + LOSS (-100)

Player to score first (either team), all bets are for $100, I list the odds in money: = LOSS (-500)

Austin Collie +1800
Dave Thomas +1800
Mike Bell +1500
Joseph Addai +550
Donald Brown +1500

Player to make the first interception. Same deal. = LOSS (-400)

Will Smith +1800
Clint Session +1500
Gary Brackett +1500
Randall Gay +1000

MVP's, same deal, all $100 odds are in money payouts = WIN (-100)

Darren Sharper +3300
Reggie Wayne +1000
Will Smith +5000
Austin Collie +1800
Drew Brees +300

Under 8 punts, it's -160 but a lock. = WIN (+100)

Over 3.5 sacks +240 (Risk $100) = LOSS (-100)

Grand total -850 on props

wrong try again

that was an out route, #27 jumped it, poor throw there

the pick, and you can listen to cris carter explain it eloquently on ESPN (he is a manning hater, said so himself on countdown) Wayne can't let the DB beat him to the spot, Manning is throwing it there no matter what, porter broke, wayne was slow coming out of his break, and he didn't lead him off to the sideline enough

listen the pick is on his stat sheet so whatver, but i'm just sayin wayne cant let the db beat him to his spot, it was tight, manning makes that throw all year long and threw that to harrison about 800 times over his 12 years

garcon had a HUGE drop and 31-45 for 330+ yards with a TD, PAINT is still not a bad line

dead serious, if we are talking about the same play where #27 dove for the ball but it was just out of his reach, 4th play of the 4th qurter drive i think

Nah, the defender stepped out of bounds, then never re-established himself in the field of play before touching the ball. So even though he got his foot down inbounds after the catch, he wasn't eligible to intercept it. Challenge would not have reversed the call, in my opinion.

dood is the highest paid player on his team.

dood has played with HOF'ers in Edge James and Harrison (and maybe Wayne)

dood has a propensity to choke in big moments - he's done it more than he has raised up, and he didn't play that grate* in the SB they did win (remember that pick-6 the D got?, but whatever, he won that one).

Rewind to 2007 Superbowl. Patriots have just scored to take the lead with under 3 minutes left in the 4th. Eli Manning then proceeds to march his team down the field to score the go-ahead and eventual game winning TD

ok, so maybe he's not a HOF lock but it's not like he's a scrub nobody like you tried to say Manning has been playing with his entire career.

re: Peyton.

If he leads them to that game tying TD instead of the PAINT*, and then leads them to a game winning TD or FG drive (AHIK), LP sits here today talking about how Manning won the game for Indy.

"Would you say he is one of the greatest. History judges championships. Plain and simple."

are you just talking QB's? Because I don't recall Barry Sanders playing in or winning many playoff games, but he's easily one of the top 5 RBs of all time

"i'm not on board with saying he cost them the game, they were down 7, the game wasnt tied

if it were i might say, that was the play that cost them the game, specifically"

EP, you're almost there, but not quite. I see what you're saying. They were down 7, Manning had played well up until that point. BUT they were still in striking distance, down 7 and driving. Then Manning throws that pick and they're down 14 with 3 minutes to go.

The great QBs, in that same situation, step up and tie the game. They don't say "Well, my team had me down 7, so I didn't lose this game."

Brady, Big Ben, Montana, Elway...hell, even Eli in my previous example, they all step up and tie that game.

Peyton is a good QB, has all the skills and tools. But he is a choker. The one ring he's won wa sagainst a Bears team that featured Kyle Orton and Rex Grossman as their QBs. Let's not forget that.

manning has more unclutch than clutch moments

would you disagree with this EP?

El Pad said...

yeah aitch tone the pats stuff down

brady getting to the 35 yard line for a 48 yarder is nothing spectacular

One of the most skilled ever? Yes. One of the greatest regular season QBs ever? Yes. One of the greatest statistical QBs? Yes.

PLayoffs? Clutch? Hell no. I bet you could name AT LEAST 5, if not 10 QBs you'd rather have leading your team in the playoffs or Superbowl.

LP is good at math too

I think RB is a different argument. QB has much more control over wins and losses than a RB, in my humble opinion...

And that's what all of these arguments are, on both sides. Just opinions.

You didn't say clutch in the playoffs. You said one of the great QBs. You don't get a ton of records by being bad

isiah thompson said...

17 yds added to the LOS for FGAs

I really hope that ns is spanish for s

Keith S said...

Goalpost is even with the back of the endzone. If they're on the 35, you add 7 yards for the snap and 10 for the endzone

Keith S said...

I mean the crossbar is even with the back of the endzone

did y'all see Rog talking about maybe eliminating the 3 point stance due to concussion related stuff?

come on Rog

Brady did not play well at all this year. Coming off major surgery, it was kind of expected, no?

All your greats had bad games over their careers. Not many are defined by their bad games like Manning and Favre are.

If Eli threw that pick last night Caput Mundi would have blamed him.
