not every pizzeria is good, i'm sure the ny slop is better than the slop your eating however so i guess for you it works, for pizza in midtown there is alot of tourist traps that aren't so good, you've been warned, also original Patsy's on 1st avenue is a quick cab ride from midtown and worth it, there is a Junior's in Times Square if you can't make it to the orginial one in downtown Brooklyn
great bars all over the city, cool lounges too, 2nd ave has the most bars, Porky's on w19th is a cool dive bar, many, many options for you
the cab from jfk to nyc will run you like 40 bucks (est.), worth it because the mass transit will take you 2 hours and is tedious, if the cab takes the Belt Parkway make sure he takes the Brooklyn Bridge, it's free and if he takes the Holland you'll have to pay the toll too. Also my exit on the Belt Parkway is Cropsey Ave, past the projects is the start of my neighborhood
if your doing the brooklyn thing with Grimaldi's dont forget to get a ice cream under the bridge, i think thye only have 5 flavors but it's quality not qunatity
if you are going to patronize the terrorist Halal carts the best one is on 49th and 6th, outside 1251 6th ave building (where we used to be) and that's a block east of Rockefeller Center, not sure if the ice is out yet for skating but the Rock Center Cafe actually makes a very good burger as well as a redonk crab cake and you can watch people fall on the ice while you eat, also the last hostess is hot, huge rack, skinny, russian blond i think
for shopping avoid 5th ave unless you want to drop bread on your girl, she will want to go into Louis, Burberry, Gucci, Armani, all that shit, a couple of blocks north you'll find Central Park
