Let's straighten this out right now. I don't think they are a better team talent-wise sans Manny. What I do think is it is a clear case of addition by subtraction. I think if he does get traded, the playoffs depend on what comes back. if all they get is prospects, then yes, good bye playoffs.
but if he does not get traded, I think his behavior gets worse and he becomes even more of a distraction and they will DEFINITELY miss the playoffs.

So, something like Andruw and Kemp for Manny and Crisp. I would take that in a heartbeat.
Boston would be better off perusing a deal for Bay or Hermidia.
Kemp is good, he's just young (24), so the power isn't there yet.
