Bobby Light is gonna do you right.....

ESPN is the WWL in sports and coupled with ABC has the world of tv on lock. But they'll be busy this week trying to cover all angles of the Pats/Colts game. I'll try to help them out.

IT'S THE PATS.....VS....THE COLTS!!!!

re: SoCal blazes

Officials are searching for the driver of a white truck seen on Santiago Canyon Road on Sunday, near the time the Peyton Manning fire started, Tom Brady County authorities said Friday.

Chief Bill Bellichick holds a photo of a white truck similar to the one seen on Santiago Canyon Road.

"These people are not suspects at this time," Orange County Fire Authority Chief Tony Dungy said. "They are persons of interest who were seen near the fire in a vehicle like this."

The vehicle is a white, 1998 Ford F150 pickup with chrome tubular running boards and a blue horshshoe on the side. Dungy said the information came from a lead called into the investigation's tip line.

A $250,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the blaze.

Re: showbiz

The original Capt. Brady is disheartened he won't get to boldly go anywhere with his old pal Spock in the new "Star Trek" movie.

While Peyton Manning is reprising his role as the pointy-eared Vulcan in next year's science-fiction flick, Tom Brady is not on board as Kirk. "I couldn't believe it. I'm not in the movie at all. Peyton, God bless his heart, is in, but not me," Brady, 29, told The Associated Press on Thursday. "I thought, what a decision to make, since it obviously is a decision not to make use of the popularity I have to ensure the movie has good box office. It didn't seem to be a wise business decision."

Director J.J. Abrams announced last summer that Manning would reprise the role he originated opposite Brady in the 1960s television show and played again in six big-screen adventures.

re: Americana

BETHEL, N.Y. -- It rises from the hilltop, bigger than a barn, built of stone and roofed in copper. Officially it will be the Museum at Foxboro, and it will be focused on the Woodstock festival, the "three days of peace and music" that took place here in August 1969. But the museum has been tagged by critics with a different name: the Patriots Museum.

"This is the farthest thing from a Patriots museum that anything could be," declared Robert Kraft, a dairy farmer who is the town supervisor -- and a reelection-seeking Republican -- in Bethel. "I personally take a little offense to that."

In this rural area, the project is seen as crucial to the economic recovery of a region hammered by the closing of once-popular Borscht Belt tourist resorts.

New BCS Standings:

1) Indy
2) New England
3) Ohio St.
4) Boston College
5) LSU

*Based on SOS and computer rankings.

NASCAR Results from Sunday's Pep Boys Auto 500:

1) Dallas Clark
2) Jimmie Johnson
3) Mike Vrabel
4) Randy Moss
5) Carl Edwards
6) Reggie Wayne
7) Reed Sorenson
8) Wes Welker
9) Lawrence Maroney
10) Matt Kenseth

Dallas Clark's crew chief, Tony Dungy made a good call for only 2 tires on Clark's final pit stop. Clark is now 9 points back of series leader Jeff Gordon.

Oh yeah, the Sawx won the World Series, beating the Indy Colts 4 games to 0. Fuck Boston. And if I hear the term "Red Sawx Nation" one more time, I'm going to have to seek out a member and kilt them. Fuck the Sawx.

yeah, i get that you won the world series, you also spent $100M more on payroll than the team you beat...congrats.

jugdish said...

Yeah, its a nice stadium. A little odd looking on the outside, but I'm glad they kept the old pillars and everything. Glad you enjoyed it, although I wish you had seen a better game with a different outcome.

there were quite a few sox fans. I rode in on the train with a couple of guys who had flown out from Boston...they were less obnoxious.

There were a bunch of sawks fans that stood right behind our section in the "pavilion" area and kept yelling and throwing beer and shit at people.

blue said...

I had awesome seats. about 25 rows back behind homeplate looking right up the 3rd baseline.

blue said...

I'll post my pictures on my blog after lunch

jugdish said...

Just out of curiosity, how much did those tickets go for?

Beth said...

Nah, no snarky comments from me today about UGA's win. It was a great win for Georgia but I still have this feeling that if Tebow was 100% (cause he clearly wasn't) the outcome would've been different.

That being said, I absolutely loved UGA sending EVERYONE out after the first touchdown to celebrate. Was a not-so-subtle "in your face" to UF that needed to be done to get the attitude going.

Beth said...

And as I said before the season started, Knowshon Moreno is a STUD.

blue said...

one last thing about the whole world series thing and then i'm done.

I realized as I was sitting there with my dad and my step-mom, that they were those types of fans that I complain about. The type that'll only go to the game if it's a "special" game. Fuck that. I knew I was in for a long night when my step-mom asked why everyone says "tulo" when tulowitzki is at bat. Also, my dad asked me the difference between a slider and a curveball. It was sad actually...and i felt like less of a fan for sitting with them.

tem said...

beth knows knowshon.

blue said...

"Just out of curiosity, how much did those tickets go for?"

we were one of the lucky few who got them online at face value...they were $250/seat...which, I think is a bargain.

blue said...

knowing knowshon is knowledge.

tem said...

fmtem is a blast to go to the arena games with because we sit close and she yells crazy things at the QB.

she also always calls the QB Krenzel irregardless of who is actually playing. this part is odd at first, but quickly becomes very humurous.

i should not that Krenzel has never played for the arena team either.

jugdish said...

Not bad at all Blue...good score there. And you beat me to the knowshon is knowledge thing too.

tem said...

*i should note....

El Padrino said...

ToddPacker said...

" I still have this feeling that if Tebow was 100% (cause he clearly wasn't) the outcome would've been different."

florida D is terrible.... you can't win too many games when you give up 42 points...

El Padrino said...

blue payrolls dont matter
irrelevant

if they did yanks would win every year

ToddPacker said...

Knowshon Moreno is solid.... can't believe he is only a freshman

i thought the whole team running onto the field after the first td was weak.... i was sitting next to a UGA fan and he was pissed... he said "that's something you might see vandy do".... but i guess it work they were the more emotional team on saturday

blue said...

the talk radio guys here last night was talking about the rockies should make a run at Torii Hunter...yeah, why not a-rod too.

they're not going to spend torii hunter type of money, especially when they're gonna have to shell out big bucks to keep Holliday, and then down the road tulowitzki.

El Padrino said...

at least the skins kept it close

ToddPacker said...

blue, going to the payroll argument is whiney

tem said...

the rockies should stay the course.

El Padrino said...

little indian boys sew the GAP clothes we wear

blue said...

i'm not whining about payroll...the sox were definitely the better team, no doubt about it. My hope is that the monforts see that "moneyball" will only get you so far. If they want to continue to stay at this level, they'll have to spend some money.

ToddPacker said...

20 out of 21 (or whatever it was)to end the season/start the playoffs is once in a lifetime type stuff.... they just ran out of steam against an equally hot team

blue said...

I was doing quick math last night, and figuring that an average ticket was $125 for the playoff in total and the rockies played 5 sold out home games, their rough net ticket sales were 31M, which almost covers their entire payroll...........in 5 games

ToddPacker said...

"little indian boys"

is that the kod bat-signal?

jugdish said...

The Sox had a fair amount of players on their team that came up through their system.

blue said...

the sox did have 8 guys who were "homegrown" and to be fair, ellsbury, was probably their best player over the last 3 games, and he was one of their guys. same with papelbon

El Padrino said...

rev's head is ginormous

Beth said...

TP, not sure it's getting as much play in FL as it is here, but regarding the whole team coming out apparently Richt told the team before the game that if they did NOT get an excessive celebration penalty after their first score he was going to be pissed. He claims though that the whole team running out part wasn't his idea, but I don't think too many people around here believe that part.

blue said...

Oregon/ASU is a BIIIIIG game this week

This is entirely too possible. UGA is such an up and down team. I'll be stunned if they win out, although they clearly have the talent to do so.
