Well if the Thrashers get swept, at least I get the first comment.

ToddPacker said...

i can't believe the thrashers were swept... they really didn't even show up for the playoffs.... reminds me of the braves

Beth82678 said...

You're not the only one who's shocked TP. But the paper had a good point this morning - during the season the Thrashers were a VERY streaky team. They'd win 5 then lose 5, etc. I think they won like 4 of their last 5 to make the playoffs so losing the next 4 in a row was pretty standard for them. Sigh.

ToddPacker said...

i think the only times the lightning would creep into 1st place was when the thrashers were on one of those losing streaks....

OT loss for the lightning hurt last night... up 3-1 is so much better than 2-2 and heading bacj to NJ

temwr said...

I'm still spent from yesterday.

ToddPacker said...

i think a saw a commercial for some new 'bingo' show last night on abc (i think).... do we really need a bingo show?

ToddPacker said...

buehrle pitching line from last night:

inn w k era whip
9.0 1 8 0.00 0.11

that should help out my pitching stats this week

temwr said...

Buehrle did OK.

Beth82678 said...

I'd like to publicly commend Michael Vick for his $10,000 donation to VA Tech. I mean damn, that's probably about the same % as if I'd donated 5 cents. He's working hard to repair his image I can see.

cho said...

I saw something about a bingo show too...i'm real excited about it.

cho said...

oops

got mcbeef? said...

standing o for vick.

and by O, i mean his o-face from busting his herpes-infested nut while standing.

too bad he wasnt visiting vah-tek.

ben said...

blue apologizes for that.

ben said...

Marcus should be the one giving back to the school...since they supported him in all his tough times...or not.

temwr said...

Bingo will be a big draw for old people.

got mcbeef? said...

we have our first investor for the mcbeef story..

ironically, its mikey vick. thanks for the 10 gee's.

temwr said...

How does money fix the problem?

Maybe Vick should donate some weed to calm the students down.

ben said...

I was hoping for an update from rev on how the test went last night...

We could just guess like we did with WC and his "promotion"...I say that it went so well that he was too busy eating tastykakes and drinking lemon drops too check in with LOV.

ToddPacker said...

i bet rev passed the test

ben said...

maybe i should check CNN to look for a headline..

"fat man goes on eating rampage after failing test"

got mcbeef? said...

rev definitely studied again the night before.. no way that he took it easy, he's too OCD.

that, or he got tang instead to forget about all that mess..

temwr said...

He might not know yet.

I can see the good rev worrying about it until he gets his actual scores. He'll second guess himself for about a week and then find out he got an 85.

ben said...

if he took the test on a computer he should know his score as soon as he's done...that's the way the GMAT is

Mills said...

looks like rev passed. 91. i think he needed a 70 or something.

over-studying.

would love to see him sit for the bar with the way he freaks out. not AT a bar.

temwr said...

hehehe, I remember when I took my GMAT. I knew nothing about the scoring system.

They gave me my scores right after and I was stunned. Then had to ask if my score was good or not. The lady looked at me like I was an idiot.

ToddPacker said...

the mcbeef pic needs to go away... it hurts my eyes

Mills said...

Then had to ask if my score was good or not.

nice.

Mills said...

who is mcbeef and who is cho?

temwr said...

Well then he probably passed and went right to studying for the next part of his series 69 stuff.

Mills said...

those tapes of him a messed up. he had some major issues. i am suprised beth didn't date him at some point!

Mills said...

don't you like the bad boys?

Mills said...

that is what his blog says. has 69 in a couple weeks or something.

correct me if i am wrong. do you even need a college degree to take these tests or can anybody sit for them?

ben said...

blue was cho...just for a short period of time yesterday and he forgot to change back into blue.

temwr said...

I haven't seen the tapes yet. I don't watch news shows.

beef = iam (i think)

cho = blue (i think)

temwr said...

blue = ben

Mills said...

these are kind of like the tests real estate people have to take to be "licensed" right?

ben said...

I don't believe you need a degree to get licensed, just pass the tests. Like selling insurance.

Mills said...

not to down play it, cuz all tests can be stressful, especially with your job on the line, but i think rev goes overboard on the stressiness of the situation.

what are the passsage rates overall?

charlie in charge said...

and we're on the move again..

temwr said...

I think they might be slightly harder than the real estate ones.

But oddly enough much much easier than the test to be a driver of a barge on a river.

ben said...

I watched the tape that spiff linked last night of cho. He seemed angrier then John was at Dick McBeef.

ToddPacker said...

charlie in charge.... that's funny

ben said...

"what are the passsage rates overall?"

I think Los said that Vanguard has like a 97% passage rate on the exams or something like that.

ben said...

Los wasn't worried.

Mills said...

is los doing it too?

ben said...

did you know that there is a job where all you do is drive ships through the panama canal?

The captain of the ship hands over the controls to that dude, and he pilots the boat through the canal, and then hops off at the other end...sounds like a sweet job.

Mills said...

alright -- somebody find me a sample test. i will pass this shit cold turkey.

Mills said...

multiple guess right?

Mills said...

The captain of the ship hands over the controls to that dude, and he pilots the boat through the canal, and then hops off at the other end...sounds like a sweet job.

i bet he makes bank too, cuz it is so specialized...

Mills said...

actually do the test tomorrow. i have tps to attend to today. tomorrow looks open.

temwr said...

test is timed too i guess.

adds a layer to it...i guess.

Mills said...

why is this thing about footballers admitting before the draft that they have toked up before such a big story?

were NFL gm's that niave to think all of those guys were clean? that warren sapp and randy moss were the first two nfl players to smoke up in college?

non-story imo.

ben said...

I couldn't pass the tests cold turkey...too many specifics to know about

whocares said...

I will never take another test in the rest of my life.

I swore to that on my last day of college.

whocares said...

Well, then I swore to it again after my first job had two week training.

Mills, bad boys? Where'd you read I date bad boys? It's attorneys I somehow seem to end up dating, and while many people hate them I wouldn't call them bad boys.

temwr said...

4. An open end investment company may do each of the following EXCEPT:
(A) Issue senior securities
(B) Borrow money
(C) Lend money
(D) Purchase call option contracts

whocares said...

The answer is:

E.) Check the internet for the right answer.

ToddPacker said...

does anyone really care if mills can pass the test

whocares said...

That's why there's a pewter on your desk.

Beth82678 said...

"does anyone really care if mills can pass the test"

Yeah, Mills does.

temwr said...

That's 4 sample questions.

I know all 4 answers. Because the key was right after the sample questions. Otherwise I would have gotten 1 right.

whocares said...

Just reading those four questions makes me realize that I would be gouging my eyes out if I had to study for a test like that.

temwr said...

I don't care if the Weasel can pass, but its a slow enough day that looking at the kinds of questions Rev had to answer doesn't hurt.

Well it does hurt your eyes to read. And goodness don't think about it either, that'll hurt your brain.

ben said...

it made me not want to take the test...that's for sure.

temwr said...

ADDA for anyone who cares.

Beth82678 said...

Tem, if you're going to post questions like that again, please post them in English next time. Thanks.

charlie in charge said...

i honestly couldnt even finish reading one of those questions

my face wouldve been devoid of eye balls if i had..

temwr said...

Anyway, a no hitter is kinda cool.

Buehrle seemed pretty cool on ESPN too. His D made some good plays to keep it going for him and he made sure to point that out.

I'm a big Buehrle fan because he pitches so quickly that games move along well.

ben said...

no wonder cho hates rich people...he couldn't answer those questions either.

ben said...

what's a no-hitter?

temwr said...

Cho hates rich people because he was an Engrish major and it took him too rong to rearn that he courdn't get a job after he graduated.

temwr said...

A no-hitter is when a fat chick goes to a bar and nobody hits on her.

temwr said...

Actually it can be any girl, but most often fat chicks toss the no hitters.

ben said...

I was amazed that cho spoke pretty good english in his video's...no replacing "r"s for "l"s or anything...it was kind of disappointing.

charlie in charge said...

in other news, theres some decent hoops matchups now

charlie in charge said...

yeah, im going back to thinking of him as Data. much funnier.

ToddPacker said...

ben said...

the local media is going crazy for the mcnuggets...they're all saying "IF the nuggets beat the spurs, then they'll beat the suns pretty easily and probably beat the mavs"

Seriously???Nuggets win 2 games tops against the spurs.

Mills said...

cho is more american than korean. has been here for 15 years. only in korea for 8. he better speak the freaking language.

ToddPacker said...

slump buster thing was funny.... he also told a story about how greg maddux "really loves pitching", that was funny

charlie in charge said...

it will be a surprise if the nuggs dress correctly for the game.

Mills said...

i don't remember the maddux loves pitching segment. please advise.

ben said...

*was

temwr said...

I missed the Mark Grace thing.

RE: Picture. Are you copying the second of the two "http:/...etc" things? I would get an error sometime when I copied the first one of the HTML text and had to go to the second one.

Mills said...

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm gonna go with Mark Grace's slumpbusting program; and I quote: "A slumpbuster is when you have to take one for the team. It's finding the biggest, nastiest, fattest broad, and you put the wood to her to come out of your slump. Also known as 'jumping on a grenade for the team'."

Also, this website here: http://www.doubletongued.org/index.p.../slump_buster/

gives a definition of a slump buster:

slump buster n. an unattractive woman sought by a man for sexual relations in order to improve his sports-playing abilities or his involuntarily inactive sex life.

ToddPacker said...

grace said that one day maddux was pitching a gem of a game and around the 6th inning maddux kept adjusting himself behind the mound and grace walks up to find out what’s the deal... when he gets to the mound he can see that maddux is fully aroused... anyway grace just said “wow, you really love pitching”

temwr said...

haha, slumpbuster. that is great.

charlie in charge said...

pic: re-checked.. yeah its only one direct link..

all i can say is that it used to work exactly this way on the old blogger..

blogger u bastard!

Mills said...

that all from a yahoo search...

charlie in charge said...

i think im going to rape Blogger just to show my dominance.

Mills said...

that is great tp. don't know how i ever missed that. i used to listen to rome religously when i was in high school.

charlie in charge said...

slumpbuster is funny stuff.

Mills said...

also --

i told my wife that if i didn't get some the other night that i was going to the through a Temtrum. She just looked at me.

Isiah Thomas said...

and the Suns play at noon on Sunday - wtf

Isiah Thomas said...

the wwl's main headline says "The White Stuff" about Berhle's no hitter.

so they're talking about coke or honkeys?

Isiah Thomas said...

ben said...

suns play at noon because you gotta get Kobe vs. Suns in the prime spot on ABC

Isiah Thomas said...

"When tragic things like this happen, families have enough to deal with, and if I can help in some small way, that's the least I can do," said Vick, who played for the Hokies before being drafted No. 1 overall by the Falcons in 2001.

wouldn't a 3PM tip PST be better then?

Noon? I'll still be hungover at noon.

ben said...

have you ever seen a non-finals game in primetime on ABC? or does ABC always show games in the afternoon?

temwr said...

I've seen one. But I am forbidden to tell stories about it.

Spaceman Spiff said...

ben said...

the only thing worth watching in the suns series, is if kobe will score more then 63 in a game.

That's fucking hilarious. He was the one giving the "great pick" "bad pick" after every selection at the draft.

hey mills "bad pick" (for the whole team)

Donald Trump has bought the giant black bustier and panties that Rosie O’Donnell wore in the movie "Exit to Eden", then framed them and sent them to Barbara Walters, O’Donnell’s boss on "the View". The girdle-like outfit was bought at a charity auction by a fan, who then had the relic framed under glass and delivered to Trump.
"I sent it to Barbara to hang in her office because I didn't want it in mine. It was funny, except that it was really gross. It's disgusting," Trump told Page Six. "I feel sorry for [Rosie's] wife. It can't be pleasant."
On "The View" on Monday, O'Donnell asked Walters, Joy Behar and Elizabeth Haselbeck: "You want to hear what a 61-year-old businessman did today? He sent Barbara . . ."
Walters interrupted: "But this is for me to say. This was sent for me, it was not sent to you." O'Donnell: "Go ahead, you say it." Walters: "No, I don't want to." O'Donnell: "You don't want to?"
Walters ended the conversation, "I really do not want to stir up the whole Donald Trump thing again" - leaving viewers wondering what they were talking about.

Donald will not stop, he'll never quit. fuck you fatty

trump should go on Oprah

I am not in the cellar. I am in 14th (which is not good), but I lose to the No. 1 team last week 10-1. I am winning this week 10-2 and won the first week 8-3.

there is one dude here who is a massive whiner (60+).. aka the guy who didnt want custody of his kids cause he wanted "to golf and go line dancing".

he is whining (amongst many other things) about getting crap in his snail mail.. like from credit cards and ish. ya know, stuff that EVERYBODY gets and that its been happening, um, FOREVER..

no. i will make the playoffs.

the cards do suck, but we will make the playoffs this year.

"Your comment that it was a good idea for Dallas to sit its starters against Golden State is bogus. If that were the case, then there would have been no reason to play the starters for the full game two days before against San Antonio.

Rather, it should be seen for it really was -- an old player (Avery) giving a gift to his old coach (Nelson). It is a sad reflection on the integrity of the game, and is no different than tanking games last year for playoff seeding, where the NBA changed the rule this year. Dallas and Avery Johnson should be fined by the league for this blatant demonstration of favoritism."

this was a good point which got absolutley zero attention. hey bill, if youre gonna bitch, why dont you bitch about teams tanking in games that actually MEAN something like this?
